This place was nice and relaxing, and the food was delicious. I am a 2nd generation Chinese Canadian new to Burlington, and I will come back for some more. I don’t know why there are some negative comments here because the food was delicious. And, I didn’t see any raw steak in our dishes. I think the raw steak you were talking about is the BBQ pork, it’s supposed to look like that. Anyways, I didn’t give full stars because of slower service.
DO NOT GO HERE. FOOD POISONING. RAW STEAK.Please do not go here, I’ll reason why.I’ve been going to the Burlington restaurant and the Hamilton express restaurant for about 10 years. The owner of both places decided to sell the burlington restaurant and ever since then I’ve been going to the Hamilton location, but yesterday just because Burlington is a lot closer I’ve decided (wrongly) to go to the one in Burlington. I order the exact same party tray every time, Cantonese style chow mein with extra noodles. The entire dish was cooked nastily the same, boiled in god damn water, please refer to photos of how raw the food was, with no oil, HONESTLY SHOULD HAVE WENT TO THE MALL TO GET CHINESE FOOD. The entire dish was so cold after I got home in 10 minutes. I made everyone in my family not to bother to finish it because once I chewed on a piece of steak, it gushed in COLD FATTY BLOOD. I called the owner of the restaurant immediately and they said they would NOT refund or replace my order, not to mention the owner yelled at ME, for getting the cantonese chow mein, like excuse me for ordering the same dish for 10 years and noticing something entirely wrong. Please do not go here as it’s the most honest mistake I’ve ever made in my entire life. Again, DO NOT GO HERE. China Taste on Walkers Line and JF Chen on Appleby are great substitute to this horrid restaurant 🙂
I have passed by this restaurant for years and never wanted to try it out. A friend suggested we meet there for lunch. First I want to start with saying how friendly and nice the lady at the restaurant is. I had my baby with me, and she was very accommodating for us. We ordered off the menu, and the food was very tasty. I really enjoyed the dishes we ordered. I will definitely be back when I’m in the mood for Chinese food in Burlington.
Great! I have tired a lot of Chinese and the food here is by far the best I’ve had. Particularly the lemon chicken! The best! You have to try Le Chinois, you won’t be disappointed!
To be honest, the food was actually pretty good, being the first time at this Restaurant. The cheese Rangoons were a must and I thought the Cantonese Mein was pretty Original, different than other Cantonese Meins in Burlington. I really like their Lunch Special, it’s a good deal being that I work in the area and I could pickup some lunch. Overall it was An Ok experience, not top of the line but is sure some good food. It does need more staff though. Never tried Delivery.
Used to love it Ordered foo…. Used to love itOrdered food for family coming to visitAwful!Orange beef was not crispy ir tasty it was like doughy similar to chicken ballsLe Chinois Shrimp $14 was undercooked not rangy and had a thick gelatinous coating that was sickeningOrdered 2 kinds of noodle dishesThey made both dishes with the same noodles and while one said thin crispy fried they were boiledI will never order again! My son from Ottawa said it was the worst chinese he has ever eaten and 4 dishes were over $50
What happened to our favourite Chinese restaurant????. Wow….what a disappointment. This food was beyond terrible….do yourself a favour and find yourself another Chinese restaurant. This place was our favourite for over 20 years and it is obvious that they changed ownership…we threw out our leftovers and most of our takeout. Thank god the takeout containers were smaller than they use to be. Where is the old owner?
