My friend suggested this place and I was rather impressed. It’s all you can eat, it’s large and they will even let you order from the Dinner menu at lunch (for an up-charge). The service was friendly and the sushi was fresh, but to drive all the way from downtown to Barrhaven is quite a trek. But if you live in the area, then it’s great to have a place like this nearby.
It’s a generic sushi buffet. I wouldn’t recommend this one over any of the other ones that’s I’ve tried in Ottawa but it’s not worse than most others either. It doesn’t have the electronic ordering system which I find more convenient, service can be spotty when it’s busy, but it has a pretty good selection. I go because it’s convenient and all the other buffets I’ve tried haven’t proven to be worth the effort to drive farther
Ordered online for delivery. Got 50pc sushi and tempura vegetables for only $40. What a great price in my opinion. Sushi was all amazing but the tempura was a bit soggy. I don’t blame the restaurant for this because what do you expect when you order deep fried food for delivery. My only suggestion would be for the restaurant to put better descriptions on what rolls are included in combos but definitely a would recommend as take out
It was terrible. 1st time there going for lunch time. Service was terrible. It was way too cold inside, myself and many other customers were wearing their winter coats and hats inside. The food took way too long, and the service was by far the worst. They never came to refill our drinks, not even once and they are very slow with picking upplates. They waiters and waitresses would walk by and stare at our empty bowls and dishes that we put at the end of our table for them and just not pick it up. I would 100% not recommend going here, even if it was $10 for all you can eat I still wouldn’t even go back. None of the waitresses even asked if everything is okay. Terrible service. No refill on any of our drinks, and very lazy and slow at picking up empty dishes to make our table more clear for more food.
Would agree with the others saying the food is decent but the service is not that great. The first time I dined here was during a dinner rush. So I let it go. I have also been in when it’s not too busy and received the same service. The staff isn’t rude or anything like thag. They are slow and will forget some items. Each time the sushi was good, however some of the rolls do have a lot of rice and little filling. Would I go back? Maybe.
Food is decent, but service is bad. The service was terrible when they first opened, but slowly improved over time. It was never great, but of late there has been some staff turnover and the service has gone downhill badly. The staff does work hard, but their training is very poor. Management seems absent.
Food from the kitchen was cold, I.e. dumplings, beef ribs, shrimp tempura…Nigiri sushi fish wasn’t great, snapper was chewy…too much rice underneath to fill you up.Even the green tea was tasteless! Woke up with diarrhea…never going back to this place!!!!
