My brother and I came into this restaurant since it was nearby, and were both Vietnamese and we saw this place had high ratings. We tried it out and my brother ordered pho and I ordered the bun rieu. The pho was bland and the noodles were over cooked. The bun rieu soup was okay, however the ch tasted off and tangy for some reason. At least the banh cuon (summer rolls) were tasty. But we wont be coming back here.
I finally found the soup I have been dreaming of! The bun bo hue here is spicy and full of flavour, the rice wraps super fresh and the service delightful.I’m going to come across negatively here but I am glad to have a server that speaks English. What I mean is literal, I find too often the servers at Vietnamese restaurants can’t understand what I am saying and are unable to answer any of my questions with more than an eager smile and nod. If you are new to a cuisine it’s nice to be able to ask questions about the dishes to help choose how you want to dive in… This server can do that!Small unassuming space, wheelchair accessible, and always busy with both diners and take out.$45 for two with apps and mains and tip. No drinks this time. Will go back just for the spicy soup. might go right now!
