I tried China Star for the first time thanksgiving weekend 2015 the food wasn’t anything great but I decided to give it one more try. The second time was terrible not only did they get my order wrong but the food I did recevie was terrriblesauce was runny or stiff. Presentation was terrible. When asked what was good on the vegetarian menu the clerk was un enthusiastic. The food lacked flavour. I usually order extra for leftovers but after half a plateful I threw everything out but the rice and shrimp puffs. The only positive things I have to say about China Star is the location and the fair prices. However those reasons alone are not enough for me to go back to China Star.
Bottom line: best Chinesetake-out food in town. Delivery is always timely, prices are fair and the food is delicious. I’d recommend anything on the menu, but have a soft spot for the Mixed House Vegetables and the Imperial Chicken. If you’ve had a long day and want a treat, order here. I’ve been ordering Take-out from China Star every other week for over a year and I haven’t yet been disappointed.

Best Chinese restaurant in Barrhaven.. Hands down best Chinese food in Barrhaven. Always fresh and tasty. There are a few other good places in Barrhaven, but this one is our preference. Awesome egg rolls, chow mein and chicken balls. Plain ol’ choices, but they never disappoint.
