EXCELLENT. Went for dinner on a Friday night with my Dad.The whole meal was amazing,from the wonderful bread to the calamari,and the seafood linguine to top it off.They had it spot on.It’s a small place with nice ambience.The service was great and the server’s suggestion to go with the sauce that she liked the most was well appreciated.The pasta was absolutely perfect.We will definitely be going back.
Owner was rude. The setting is nice, staff friendly, food O.K. but the owner (was identified by an employee) was heard yelling in the back rooms at staff, saying things that shouldn’t be heard by patrons. left us very uncomfortable . all we wanted was to finish the meal and escape.I won’t support and spend my tourist $$ in an establishment that treats its employees in such manner.
Lovely luncheon.. On International woman’s day my dining companion and I celebrated at Da Santino with a beautiful 4 course lunch and lots of door prizes. The zuccini and bruchetta were amazing starters and the grand finale of Gina Zaconi’s mariposa cake was exquisite. We will be returning for more delicious treats from the talented Santo’s kitchen.
My favourite restaurant! Excellent food! Santo, the chef, makes special gluten free dishes for me. The staff is wonderful! I’m always pleased with Da Santinos!!!
I was told good things about this restaurant so I finally tried it out after work last week. My family and I really enjoyed it. We just wanted a simple night with really good food and a glass of wine, and da santino delivered. It was a busy night so I was worried about our 7 yr old eating at a reasonable time but the waitress was very accommodating and brought out his pasta first. It didn’t take much longer for our meals. Great start. I had the rack of lamb with veg and my wife had the seafood pasta. Both were excellent and I liked having butternut squash as part of my veg. A real family atmosphere which seems harder to find these days. I will definitely go back and recommend.
Went for the first time this evening to celebrate Mother’s Day. The restaurant us small and cozy which also means loud and noisey. The owner had his family seated in half of the restaurant and the many kids were left running around, the adults were constantly up and down and walking by us in the crowded area. No one was keeping the atmosphere a priority for the non-relative patrons. The food was ok but portion nor quality reflects the price charged. Always looking for a hidden gem close to home but this wasn’t it. Keep your family separate or host them privately. Not the kind of atmosphere you want when you’re paying and trying to celebrate.
Outstanding authentic Italian food. Definitely a hidden gem.. Can’t wait to go back- new dining destination!
