Ishina is definitely the better of the two Indian buffet options in the area for lunch. Although they might not have the decor of the other restaurant and the selection of dishes is more limited (rice, five hot options, three salads, pickles, soup, papadum, and a dessert that rotate daily) overall the food is fresher and the quality is better. The naan is freshly cooked and comes straight from the kitchen shortly after your arrival. They also have a number of vegetarian buffet options for any of you out there of that particular persuasion. The staff is very attentive/friendly and at this point have memorized my drink order which is a nice touch.Highly recommend, will definitely continue to give them my patronage.

Highly recommend. One of Ottawa’s best Indian Restaurants. I have been to Ishina on several occasions now with colleagues from work and each time I am delighted. Every dish I have sampled was fresh, flavourful, well spiced and delicious. The Butter Chicken has to be my favourite as the chicken is tender and the sauce is so tasty. The staff are all pleasant and provide excellent service. This food is a delight. I would highly recommend.
Great food. The butter chicken is great. The chicken is always tender and the sauce is very flavourful and creamy. In my opinion the best butter chicken in the city. Friendly staff as well.
