We order crme brulee dessert for a dinner party. Each crme brulee came in it’s owner ceramic container. Nice touch. Everyone, none exception, loved it. We all highly recommend this light dessert.
Joyful store visits. I have enjoyed on many occasions tasting Belgian chocolates in this store in my neighborhood. So far none was a disappointment, but I loved the most hazelnut pralines and truffles. I also find that these chocolates make a great gift – they do such a cute packaging with these chocolates and the quality/taste is exceptional. As far as pastries and cakes go , we tried Royal, Rubi, Red Velvet, crme brle – all had great reach taste and nicely balanced sweetness. My daughter had a cupcake, which I tried and did not like, but I do not like cupcakes in general. Good coffee/espresso with almond croissant.
Cakes and Chocolates!. I have had a few of my boyfriends chocolates before that he gets as presents from his parents. They are good, I would love to go and pick some out just for me. I have to tell you about the cake though! So orgasmic! I was in chocolate cake heaven. So many layers… mmmmmmmmmmmm.
We’ve made this a Friday family tradition. Truffles and a movie. My son loves them and so do we. Very helpful and friendly staff. Always patient with our selections. Great cakes for special occasions too
Sugar Crash. I popped in on a whim after having lunch at a local spot with my parents. My family and I lived in Holland for ten years and were excited at the thought of some authentic Belgian truffles. I myself went a different route and had the Chocolate Pyramid Cake and unfortunately my sugar craving didn’t get its fix. The flavour was bland and overall execution just fell short. Each layer barely was differentiated by any taste or texture aside from the obvious colouring.The store arrangement was a bit quirky too. There are a couple of small tables with chairs but when i sat to eat my cake i had to then get up and ask for a fork and napkin. I was told to grab one at the back of the store. When i retreated to the back it was a private coffee/kitchen for staff. I felt a bit lost like I was crossing private property.My mum and dad split an assortment of truffles and too were disappointed. The service was very friendly and helpful and patient when they were perusing the showcase but at the end of the sitting they were left unsatisfied and felt mislead.
Bland cupcakes. I tried both an orange ganache cupcake and a grape cupcake. They look nice but the cakes and the icing taste very bland.
