I go every week for lunch. My favorite is S2 (shredded vegetables with chicken and cashews). 8 spring rolls for $5; fantastic deal. All the food I have tried is good. Very reasonable prices. Very casual atmosphere.
Enjoyed meal, will be back!. I ordered the chicken with red and green pepper and spicy lemongrass sauce. it didn’t come with rice but they asked if I wanted rice. very tasty. will definitely be back. good friendly service.
Bland. Spring rolls were more wrap then food and all together very bland…we ordered soup and found it was also bland, we wont be returning.
Very dissapointed. I’m a guy who LOVES pho and vietname cuisine. I’ve probably had 8-900 Bowls of Pho in the last 18 years and as a result I have a very good Idea of what is good and what’s not. When I eat pho I expect a delicious flavourful broth and nice cuts of rare beek and well done beef plus chicken pieces in my soup. The broth was extremely bland, there were HUGE chunks ( pool cue chalk cube size) of fat and gristle which were supposed to count as meat and the beef that was beef was cut into very small pieces requiring far more attention with chopsticks then makes sense for a dish like this. They also had a pork springroll which was 50% wrapping and was way overcooked. When I requested lettuce and basil to wrap my rolls with( a fairly common practise) all they had was the shredded lettuce McDonalds puts on their terrible burgers. I really wish I had driven to one of my favorite Pho places instead of eating here – It was a major let down.
Out of all the Pho places in Kanata, I was not impressed by this one. The rice rolls were very empty and loosely wrapped so it was falling apart all over the place. There were no mint or basil leaves as per usual which left it lacking that distinctive taste I have come to expect. The peanut sauce was beyond spicy and it was difficult to eat. Skip this option and head up the street to the noodle house on terry fox. Same exact prices, much better quality.
Awesome lunch restaurant! INEXPENSIVE!. I ate at Mr Pho. 4 times last week for lunch, for $7 I get a huge bowl of delicious soup and I leave full every time! Can’t get that at Mc D’sMy friend is a huge fan of the pork vermicelli, he says its not the best he’s had, but its less than half the price of other restaurants.I’m sort of picky when it comes to eating out, and for the price, this place is my first choice come lunch time! who doesn’t love a good inexpensive lunch?
Compared to every other Pho spot in the city… last place.
