Their food was fantastic , I’ve had a lot of bad luck with ordering Chinese food , so I was hesitant ,but you get what you pay for :)Very very good! Fast delivery , friendly people .
Great food, Fast delivery. My friend had recommended this place to me so I decided to try them out. I had ordered a dozen egg rolls, a generals tao’s chicken and with the recommendation of staff a satay beef with egg noodles. They had told me 45 minutes for delivery however my order arrived after only 25 minutes which made my hungry girlfriend happy. All the dishes went beyond my expectation and the delivery man was extremely friendly. I have been to many of the chineese restaurants in Barrhaven and they are one of the best. Over all a good experience and I would definitely recommend this place.
Satisfied. Been living in Ottawa three years and have tried a few different Chinese places. Very disappointed in them all except for the Nu Fortune ! I have a bad allergy with MSG, plus she’ll fish. The food is so delishious without the extra additive. The staff are all very nice and pleasant on the phone in an order. Thank you for letting myself and my family enjoy a nice dinner with wonderful flavours !!
General Tao’s Chicken Combo Plate. I worked late tonight and thought that I would order a simple combo plate for dinner and decided to stop in to NuFortune. The chicken was terrible, no flavour and certainly no spice. The plate was filled with half rice, bland vegetables and very few pieces of deep fried chicken with a salty not good sauce. I was disappointed and took the time to call and politely relay my concerns. The order clerk said oh and never offered any apologies or the option to replace my dinner. First time and a bad impression, and I won’t be going back!
Amazing!!! If you live in Barrhaven eat here!!! Everything here is amazing but some of my faves that are a must try. General Tao chicken, Ja do chicken wings, hot and sour soup, Sam see chow mein. I could go on….For the price it’s a generous serving that will definitely last for a couple of days. Service is friendly as well. Def worth a try, and worth going back!!
Better than average. This was our first time at NuFortune, after having tried the other six Chinese restaurants in Barrhaven. Overall, we had a positive impression despite the order taking a little longer than expected for pick up. My guess is that most of these restaurants use the same pre-packaged suppliers, and NuFortune was generally no exception. However, the SS Chicken balls were different. It was mostly meat and very little batter. The sauce was also different compared to the run-of-the-mill bright red sauce in which the food is normally swimming. Here is the break down of our order:SS Chicken ball 10/10. Excellent General. Tso beef: 8/10. Good, better than averageSingapore noodle: 7/10. Average.Egg roll: 7/10. Average.Mush. rice: 7/10. Average Overall, it was a decent take out meal, with average prices. We will be back, and try other dishes next time.
