We’ve eaten here many times and without fail it has been excellent. Very good food, generous portions and very fair prices. Oddly, their steak is fantastic too. It is our favourite place

I chose this restaurant based on reviews and drove all the way from Centretown to pick up a Barrhaven friend for his birthday. Having been in Greece for some time I was a bit fussy. The menu is partial to Canadian tastes however it was so good, fresh, and they put together a meal for me that was slightly off menu. My friend loved his salmon (African, this was his first Greek food). Our excellent server, Joey, was attentive and helpful. I will definitely tell friends about Pinelopi, and encourage Barrhaven folks to support the restaurant.

Tucked away in the Nepean suburbs, this delightfully cute and ambient atmosphere restaurant prepares astoundingly delicious greek dishes. From your conventional greek appetizers, to souvlaki platters, to lamb dishes, the restaurants offers incredibly portioned and well-made dishes, which definitely pairs well with a glass of wine.

Very good. For those interested in the more typical family style, cozy, comforting Greek restaurant with much home and heart, this one does it but with style and class thrown in. Honest and tasty cooking. Great saganaki cheese and apps. Desserts are very good too. Best in Barrhaven area.

Best Restaurant in Barrhaven by far. Cozy and Chic. Food is delish. A little pricey for what you get but I guess its the price you have to pay to get decent food in Ottawa. Only complaint is there restaurant hours. I understand its a small family owned restaurant, but I have gone 4 times and they were closed. Quite disappointing. But other then that, reserve a table and enjoy the delish authentic food!

This is a great restaurant, and those who do venture out to Barrhaven will be very pleased that they did. I used to eat at Theos in Westboro, but have now converted to this place…..if we can everget in!!The most common item ordered at greek restaurants is chicken souvlaki, and my advice is not to order this dishhere. You simply can’t make it any better in a $$$ restaurant than you can at a go4greek type of place, so I suggestaiming a little higher with your order. The appetizers are the main treat here;ordering a few of these as a dinner with some nice vino to sip onmakes for an absolutelyperfect experience. At the top of the list are the bacon-wrapped scallops in a beautiful peppercorn sauce. Mouth watering decadence. The dips are all tremendous, and so a tray of dips to go with the garlic and/or roasted pita bread are a must. The saganaki is standard, but still a wonderful gastronomic experience. OPA! The salads are all wonderfully flavoured, in a uniquely traditional manner – always a worthwhile addition to the mix.About themains, the rack of lamb is absolutely spectacular, while the vegiemoussaka lacks somewhat in flavour. The steaks are top notch, guaranteed to beto one’s liking, and half the price of the more well known steakhouses. My preference is the rib-eye, but it’s hard not to choose the (melt in your mouth) filet. There are many other great dinners to choose from to satisfy everyone’s palette. Go with the rack of lamb, it’s just that good. The wraps are great as well, especially the lamburger, but this is lunch fare.If you dohave one, ask for some feta in it, becausethe wraps don’t come with it if you don’t ask, and the feta supremely enhances the overall taste. The desserts are all great, but nothing better than the homemade baklava (homemade somewhere else, but still homemade). No better way to complete your meal. The service is good, although the older waitress can be a bit in your face/presumptuous. The owner’schildren are a better bet for very friendly and appropriate service.

Went there on a groupon, and everything was amazing. I had never managed to have good greek food in this city until I tried Pinelopi’s. The steaks we got were perfectly seasoned and had a perfect crust, and were done just the way we ordered. We went back earlier this spring, and we got their Saganaki, which was very flashy, and so delicious. But the rest of the meal was good, but nothing really noteworthy or special.Still a good restaurant, but given the location and distance to travel, I probably won’t bother making a trip back here. If the location were better, I wouldn’t rule it out.
