Horrible and very bad experience. I will not give themeven one start. We recently had a party at Rinag Banquet Hall and the daybefore the party we went there for an hour to do the decoration for the partywhich was agreed upon. We were there at 4pm-5pm and made a humble request togive us 10 more minute grace time to wrap up our decoration task but to ourshock, the Owner (Ram) gave us reply with very rough and loud tone voicedenying our request (still fine).During the party time, the service is absolutely bad andwith not customer care, the appetizers are not serviced well and the Chefstarted yelling when request made to fill out the empty dishes with the food inthe buffet.
The selection is limited but everything in this buffet tastes great. My co-workers and I often take advantage of their take out option: fill 1 plate with whatever you like in the buffet. The chickpeas are some of the best i’ve ever had.
Worst Indian Buffet I’ve ever been to! There was very little selection, and eventhough we went early in the afternoon all the meat was dry. The naan bread was reheated from the freezer. Should have just left once we saw that there was no one dining there but us! 18carrotgold.com
Big Disappointment – Not Recommended. Went for lunch past week. Think cafeteria style. Clean. Staff friendly. Now about the food. The beef was gristly and unbelievably salty, sauce flavourless; the tandori chicken was almost okay; the butter chicken had lots of bland sauce and very little chicken. The chickpeas and the eggplant, two of my favourite dishes, were extremely tasteless/bland. Whatever happened to Indian food that had a depth of flavour based on a good blend of spices and not on a chef with a penchant for oversalting and boring sauces. Not a good food experience. The only thing that was pretty good was the Naan, and it was hot whereas most of the food in the warming trays was lukewarm at best and only seemed to get hot when the trays were near empty. All-in-all I would not recommend this restaurant nor would I bother to go back again. Ottawa has many other Indian restaurants with a much higher quality of food.
Seek this gem out!. If you like Indian food, drop in for a visit. Large dining room without a lot of added ambience. Think conference hall. Buffet is in a smaller room off the dining room. Steam tables are filled with a good selection of indian fare that is well prepped and tasty. I have brought several guests and have surprised each and every one of them with the quality of the food. Naan bread is fantastic and our service has been friendly and prompt. Repeat? Whenever possible!
Great Indian Buffet. Definitely out of the way in an industrial park. But it has a great buffet! And their fresh nan days are Thurs and Fri. If you can find yourself to be in the area give it a shot!
