No one should be allowed to sell shark fin soup! It is a terrible and gruesome practice to cut off a live shark’s fins and throwing the rest of the animal back into the sea, where it dies a slow and painful death. The fins are used in Asia and by Chinese communities elsewhere as a status symbol. As I understand it is not even the part that gives the soup taste.
