Today I took my 2 teenage grandsons out for brunch and the whole experience turned out to a negative one.Instead of being seated on the side where there were a number of servers, we were taken to a table as close to the entrance as possible, where every time the door opened we were on the receiving end of a very cold wind. The lady who greeted us and sat us at the table was unpleasant and unprofessional!Other people were also seated on that same side after we were and yet there was only one server. The table behind us had a party of over 12. Felt sorry for the one server who was run off his feetAfter placing our 3 orders, we did ask if we could move to the other side where there wouldnt be a draft and were told by our server he would check.After 15 or 20 minutes he came back and said no.From this point on, the server ignored us as much as possible and we waited 45 minutes to be given our food. At least 4 other tables of customers who came in after us, were served before we were. We also werent offered more coffee or water and yet the server was bending over backwards to stop at all of the other tables frequently. To refill water glasses and coffee.When our food arrived it was cold. I did ask another employee who was standing at the back who I thought might be the manager, he/she the mgr wasnt in yet. I thought it was important to provide some feedback…When our server came with the bill and I asked him to speak to the manager, he said he was that person?Long story short I couldnt eat my eggs Benedict as they were cold. They were taken away and I wasnt offered anything else, the dish was removed from my the billMy grandsons each had 1 crepe and I had a coffee and the total bill was over $32.All in all a very disappointing outing!!!
Nice and quiet when we arrived around 11. Large menu, similar to Cora’s but I enjoyed this meal much more. Food was great and came out quickly. Service was friendly and coffee topped up frequently. Coffee a bit strong for my taste.
Been here a few times, always excellent food and service. Menu is similar to Cora’s but food is better and larger portion sizes. Fruit is very fresh and ripe. The coffee is on the strong side but that’s the way I like it. Definitely one of my favorite places for breakfast.
