  How did this place receive positive reviews??. Went for breakfast with my daughter and girlfriend. There was one other couple there. We were greeted by what I presume as the owner and seated. We ordered our food and were promptly served coffee and beverages. My daughters pancake breakfast came out in less than 10 minutes. At first I thought this was a tactic as kids usually take longer to eat but our breakfast took 40 minutes to arrive! It was mediocre at best. Eggs were dry and bread wasnt very fresh. Homefries were luke warm and there was no ketchup offered or in sight. Sinve no one came to check on our table I didnt get a chance to ask for any either. Needless to say I didnt finish the meal. The communication with the owner and server was terrible. Their english was very poor. I ordered a caesar and waited 20 minutes for a drink that most definitely was not a caesar. It was gross. I dont understand how this place has received so many positive reviews as it was poor all around. The servers were nice but very quiet and poor english skills. This place is often empty and I know why now. I cant speak for their dinner service but this was a bad introduction. Breakfast doesnt take 40 minutes to prepare. Especially when our order was the only one up. Disappointed and not returning.

  It’s a Mystery!. Went there on a Friday night in July and after having enjoyed a very good meal in quiet, pleasant surroundings at a decent price I have to wonder why my wife and I were the only people in the place. Sure it’s in an unattractive little strip plaza and it’s hard to tell from the menu just what sort of place it is, but I’ve never had a bad meal here. And the decor is pleasantly funky and intimate, the service pleasant, the menu interesting, and the ingredients fresh and nicely seasoned.

  Awesome Breakfast!!. My family and I have been going to The Zuni Grill for years. I recently went for breakfast there with my dad and friend. They have new owners now, but it has retained it’s charm and superior customer service. Thanks Zuni Grill. Jesse

  Ambivalent. Service was great. Food was modest at best. I really wanted to like it. Stick to the Bowls and I’m sure it is good

  Never disappointed – truly fabulous.. I have eaten at this restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. The food is fabulous, the atmosphere charming and the family who runs the restaurant are 2nd to none. They services is very friendly, no waiting, and they are more than happy to accommodate any request. It’s a must visit restaurant and I guarantee you will go back again.

  Amazing evening. I live in the neighborhood and have wanted to try this restaurant for years. Last night was my birthday so I told my husband that it was where i wanted to go. I can’t believe we haven’t been before! The food is amazing. We each had an appetizer, my husband the mediterranean flatbread and I had the special appitizer chicken pakoras. We both ohhhed and awwed with every bite sharing each others plates. Then on to the entrees, with my husband choosing the Jambalaya and my choice was the Indian Paella from the special Autumn harvest menu. Again, both were absolutely fabulous with each of us eyeing the others plate for just another taste! Tariq was a great host, inquiring about allergies and being very knowledgeable. As if they read our minds, when he brought me my to go container (so looking forward to eating that later!) he had stapled the to go menu on top! We will definately be back, we will definately being bringing others and I think it will be our new special place for years to come! I can hardly wait to try the butter chicken based on the meals we recevied last night! Thanks Zuni’s for a wonderful birthday definately 2 thumbs up from us!!!

  Dream restaurant – a treat for your taste buds!. Get past the strip mall exterior and savour, as my wife and I recently did an amazing and relaxing dining experience. No pretense here, only the heathiest of foods served in the most incredible ways. Let the oow’s and ah’s of your taste buds rejoice. It was vegetarian for me and a four meat fest for my wife, but for both of us it was a 10 out of 10. Thank you to the staff of Zuni’s. When back in Ottawa we will definitely be back to visit.
