I have been here on multiple occasions and I can tell that they are very consistent. Yes, consistently good! Their portions are quite generous and you have enough leftovers for the next day. Things I have ordered.Lemongrass chicken curry – So flavourful. This curry was just amazing. It had lots of vegetables as well as chicken. One thing to note is that we had to get rice separately. They had the option of getting brown rice though.Red curry with Chicken – This was a bit disappointing since it did not have any lemon grass. It was quite mild (which is a good thing for me) but you probably want to tell them if you want it spicy.Eggplant delight – plenty of eggplant but very greasy. got the lunch special so it came with a spring roll, soup and rice.Chicken basil fried rice- mind blowing! Every bite was a great mix of flavours. Loads of garlic. They don’t seem to skimp on their veggies or meat.The service is always great. The owner is very friendly and makes sure you have a wonderful time. They have also received the reader’s choice award multiple times as best Thai in the York region. Overall, this is fantastic for Thai food in this area.

The assorted appetizers were packed with layers of flavour and the chicken curry had the perfect blend of creamy coconut milk contrasting a zing of spice. The spicy beef noodle dish had the absolute right amount of heat contrasting the flavours. We certainly plan on a return visit.The staff was friendly and very attentive. Worth the drive to Newmarket!. While there are literally hundreds of Thai restaurant choices in the GTA when my Thai craving kicks in it is always Bangkok Thai Cuisine that comes first to mind. From the always fresh and authentic dishes to the warm ambiance and incredible service from Vandara and her team, no other restaurant comes close to satisfying on all levels. ALWAYS worth the drive to Newmarket!

Best in GTA. The entire experience at Bangkok Thai has been beyond excellent at every visit. Vandara, the owner and Chef will remember you by name after one visit and she has the subtle taste buds of a master chef. For an appetizer, we suggest sharing the seafood soup and their sizeable mango salad that has hints of cashews, cilantro, peppers and spices. Absolutely fabulous. Tonight, we shared two main dishes. One, a delicate beef sliced to perfection and the other a curried chicken with coconut rice that left a after taste we savored all the way home. Our highest recommendations to this little jewel in Newmarket. We drive a total of two hours to eat at this restaurant, and every time we left wondering why we don’t make the trek more often.
I love this place!! It’s under new management and the owner is lovely! They honestly have the very best spring rolls in town. I love their cashew nut chicken, the lemon chicken soup is amazing! Don’t forget the mango salad, my new favorite treat. This place is great, you should go!
