Attractive Setting.. Nice patio location, likely the best in the area. Our service was slow, particularly getting beverages, however the apparently regular customers at the next table got priority attention. The menu is huge and challenging for a small kitchen, so we weren’t feeling brave enough to try some of the more interesting items. We had the Beef Philly and the B & B Burger. Both were satisfying, but expensive for what they were. A $17 burger ought to be astounding in more than price.
Horrible eXPERIENCE. The location is fantastic ; however, the food is terrible. Do not be fooled by the atmosphere – your experience will be one of regret. On our wedding anniversary my wife and I decided to visit this place; our meals were over-cooked. My wife’s pasta was drenched in a thick creamy sauce that made her ill. We also ordered the stuffed chicken – dry to the bone. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
I voted that I didn’t like this place because of the food and the inconsistent service. I do like the patio outside in the summer to have drinks. I will never go here again for the food. It tasted stale, frozen and bland. I tried the suggested rice balls and they were disgusting. Will not recommend for food but for drinks only on a patio if in the area only maybe. Service is hit or miss.
Nicest patio in Newmarket. The cachet has the nicest patio with the view of main st AND the waterfall but thats it ! Does the owner even read these reviews ? It must be alot of work … you really should simplify and stop trying to please everyone.
My husband and I both had iced teas but they were never refilled. We ordered arancinis as appetizers and they were hot and tasty. He got a pizza which he found delicious. I got the risotto, which was cold, mushy and bland. I also got chicken added to it and it was dry and flavourless, I didn’t bother finishing it.
The Last Time. The last time we went to Cachet, I said it was the last time. Decided to give it one more try, wish I hadn’t. The patio is fabulous, great atmosphere overlooking Fairy Lake. The burger was the worst, very dry patty, with a soggy bun on the bottom and stale on the top. Service is slow. Menu is overpriced. Sorry Cachet, maybe for drinks on the patio, but never going to eat there again.
Horrible food, horrible service. The location is great, and the patio is unbeatable for atmosphere.. but the place just sucks. Don’t be tempted by the atmosphere, you will regret your diner and be embarrassed infront of whomever you brought into this place. We have tried this place a couple times in the hopes we just had a bad night, but it was the same raw deal. The food is presented well, but none of our meals were cooked properly. My friends burger was completely raw inside (not a ‘medium’ like some places suggest – completely raw). We ordered a spinach dip with toasted pita, we received spinach dip with 2 pieces of pita and the rest were store bought chips. My Reuben sandwich was sliced deli meat in a puff pastry that was still raw and seeping with some kind of oily butter substance (sauerkraut and dressing on the side). The roasted red pepper soup came out cold, and was likely store-bought. My wifes fries were raw, and there was so much salt on the plate from them it covered her sandwich (they must have salted the fries again after they put the stuff on the plate!). Service was equally unjustifiably bad. From the hostess right down to the server, no one was interested in actually responding to simple requests like getting another drink. For example, waited 15 minutes for our beverages to arrive after we ordered them. Just avoid this place until it closes and opens under new management.
