We went to Cynthia’s paradise yesterday around 6:30pm – just two of us – we were seated immediately however the person setting the table forgot soya sauce, not a big deal initially. Then we were asked what we’d like to drink, water for the both of us. We immediately placed our first round of food, not a lot as the table was extremely small that we were seated at and we were concerned that too many dishes wouldn’t be able to fit. After 25 minutes we still hadn’t received any food, still hadn’t received or water (which we asked for three times) and still hadn’t received soya sauce for the table (which we asked for twice). Finally after 30min we received soup and one dish that we ordered (that is when the manager walked by and we asked him for soya sauce and received it shortly after). The food then started to arrive, still at a very slow pace. We were there for an hour and 35 min by the time all of our food had arrived (we didn’t order a lot either) and then we finally decided to just order some ice cream and small deserts before paying and leaving. While still in the middle of eating deserts, one server started taking the tiny shot class desert dishes off the table literally as soon as we would set them down, at one point even attempting to take a dish out of my boyfriends hand before he was even finished eating what was in it.She then proceeded to start wiping our table off while we were still eating and trying to hold a conversation, even so much as to wipe her dirty dish towel along my arm while I was eating.We then asked for the bill. The server arrives with a bill totalling $58.72 and advises if I pay cash there is a 10% discount. I pull out $60 thinking that is more than enough of a tip with the discount for the horrible service we were provided and the server as the nerve to tell me to give her more money because that wasn’t enough of a tip!!! I calmly explained to her the issues that we had with the service and that they were lucky they were getting a tip whatsoever and she gave me a dirty look at left. I won’t be back and won’t be recommending to others either.

This is my second time dining here. Both times have been a wonderful experience. The service is excellent and so is the food. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves Thai, Chinese, and Japanese. The food is very high quality.
