Team Lunch. We visited Ricks Cookhouse today with the kids hockey team, while in Newmarket for a tournament. I was nervous when we arrived given their size, but we all fit in and the staff bent over backwards to make us comfortable and accommodate us. We had a diverse group, and I think between the 25 of us we tried just about everything on the menu, and there were no complaints from anyone! Fantastic brisket (my choice) and great reviews on the pulled pork too. Often a bit sloppy elsewhere, Ricks was the perfect blend of moist and not messy. Wings, fries, burgers, all done to perfection, for very reasonable prices. Really thankful we decided to try this place, only wish we weren’t from Ottawa as we’d be back to visit many, many more times.
