It pains me to write a negative review, because the people who work there are so nice. But unfortunately, the food wasn’t. I’m a West Indian/Jamaican food lover my whole life, so trust me, I know! The patties are flavorless, the rice & peas was obviously not freshly made. The jerk chicken was lousy, and jerk pork as well. Its pricey, and just an overall unsatisfying meal. Don’t waste your time, and money. The Caribbean place in Yorkgate mall Jane&Finch is wayyy better!
If it weren’t for this app I would have never found this place because it’s back a bit from the road. Glad I did though, my lunch was excellent. For $10, I got the small jerk chicken meal, a patty and a water. Can’t complain about the price as I expect a delicious lunch that fills me for that price. I’ll need to try the other kinds, but I had a spicy beef and I thought it was great.
This place is not authentic Caribbean food. The patties are awful. My husband and I were shocked to see people devouring them at the farmers market on weekend. This is not how patties are supposed to taste and the food is quite bland. It’s not authentic Caribbean food (like you would find on Eglington Ave. in Toronto)
