Came across this Persian store by chance. It is really close to my house and I can’t believe I haven’t been here yet!They have some really good lunch and dinner options at the hot food counter. We tried the koobideh and vaziri platters. The platters include two kabobs, loads of rice, a grilled tomato and a side salad. The food is pretty good and they are very generous with the portions. They gave us some Sumac seasoning on the side. I felt the koobideh and chicken could use a bit more spices during the cooking process so that they blend in though it was quite delicious. The prices are very affordable.They have a variety of sweets and baked goods too including Baklava, Jalebi (or Zulbia) and freshly baked Persian bread. The store also carries a plethora of spices used in Middle Eastern and South Asian cuisine and drinks like yogurt soda that you wouldn’t find in a usual grocery store. I think this is a great addition to the Newmarket and Aurora area. I will be back to try the other hot food options.
