I will never go to this place again . Decor is outdated and so is the menu . I had the hot turkey sandwich . It however did not come with turkey gravy . The gravy was this thick gelatinous Exxon Valdez it drowned everything on the plate . No flavor at all . This is what I would imagine jail food to be like .
I’ve been going to Basell’s for 20+ years, and the food is always fantastic! Never any complaints in that regard. Their scrambled eggs and back bacon are legendary. Club sandwich is another great option. Some people have said it’s a bit pricey but the quality of food is excellent, as are the portions, and I’m willing to pay for that! The owner is lovely.
Breakfast is amazing!! Home cooked, huge portions, weekend breakfast server is amazing! I just have to think about coffee and my cup is full. home fries have a delicious cheesy quality.
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible!!!. The food was cold and not fresh. The service was slow and unfriendly. The atmosphere was old, dark, dirty and dingy. The washrooms were dirty and in need of repair. Hated it! Hated it!
Still open?. On google maps, it indicates that the space is for rent. Not sure that the restaurant is still there or open.
This place has some of the best food and nicest staff! I always tip huge when I eat there – they deserve it! Their French toast or their hamburgers are very good! And their side dishes of fries and onion rings are incredible! 5/5!
Too expensive for a dive. The food is very good and the service is fast, but I paid too much for 3 hamburgers and pops – $40! And this was for lunch. Haven’t updated the decor for 40 years and smelled like a urinal puck.
