This upscale place, in a corner of a big shopping mall/hotel/casino complex, would have a great view of the falls were it not for the trees. We were there with someone known to the management, and possibly as a result we scored the one corner table that had sort of a glimpse of the water through the trees. But generally speaking, if you’re coming here with the idea of a romantic view, you’ll have to confine your gaze to the lovely person across the table from you.The service we had was excellent. I’m thinking this might be because of the connection, but somehow I doubt it. I give the staff the benefit of the doubt and assume that, to them, we were all Just Ordinary Folk and they treat everybody that well.The prices seemed quite reasonable; then I realised they were in Canadian dollars, and so they’re damned good for this type of restaurant.I had the small prime rib with sauted vegetables. Visited this gem of a restaurant on a friend’s birthday. Located in the fallsview casino, the ambience was as expected, top notch! The host welcomed us and had us seated on a table with a partial view of the falls. Our server, got us water and drinks and offered to keep us updated with the super bowl scores. We had planned to have prix fixed dinner which for 34$ is a great deal. A three course menu with good choices in each course. We both setlled for caesar salads for the first course which was followed by the chipotle steak on mashed potatoes and veggies for me and prime rib for the friend. The steak was cooked to order and really tender. We finished the meal with a super double chocolate brownie with vanilla caramel ice cream. The friend got sparkles on her brownie for it was her birthday, great touch! In all a great dining experince.
