FOOD:We had come here on a Monday morning at around 9:30 am for breakfast. I had chosen the Quick 2 Eggs Breakfast ($17.49), which came with two eggs (I had chosen scrambled), two slices of bacon, and hashbrowns, along with one slice of toast cut into two (I had chosen sourdough bread). My husband had settled on the Big Steak Omelette ($21.99), which included two slices of toast cut into four (he had chosen whole wheat); he also purchased Coffee, which was an additional $3.99. The only reason we had come to this restaurant was because we had a coupon that we had wanted to use, and we had never been to this location before. In terms of my meal, I liked the scrambled eggs however, the hashbrowns were all clumped together into one piece, and they tasted overcooked, along with the bacon, which was also much too crispy. I would have thought that I would receive more than one slice of bread however, only one was given to me, and it was quite small. My husbands meal was large, with the omelette containing steak and vegetables peppered throughout the egg. It did taste quite good, although I was confused as to why he was given a side of salsa with his omelette, which didnt really go well at all. Overall, my meal was okay however, much too expensive for what I had received.ATMOSPHERE:This restaurant was situated inside of the Four Points By Sheraton, which is where we had stayed for the night. When we had arrived, there was a large line-up going down the ramp to the restaurant. However, it moved quickly, and we were seated within ten minutes of arriving. We were able to sit in a booth which was nice however, we were near the cash register and the kitchen, so, the servers were walking-by our area very regularly to bring orders to other tables, or to ring-through orders at the register. The booth was comfortable however, it was very loud in the restaurant, and the dcor was quite plain, nothing too wholesome to remember.SERVICE:We were served by a kind middle-aged woman, that was pleasant from the moment that we had arrived, until the moment that we had left. She was easygoing, friendly, and helpful, giving us time to order our meals, although she had many tables to serve in the meantime. She also answered a few of the questions that we had, and came by to refill my husbands coffee. She also told us to take our time after we had finished our meals, and not to rush out if we needed some extra time. I found her extremely caring, and would love to be served by her in the future.COST: 1 Big Steak Omelette: $21.99 + 1 Quick 2 Eggs Breakfast: $17.49 + 1 Coffee: $3.99: $43.47 + Tax: $53.05 – $15.00 (Coupon) = $38.05WOULD YOU RETURN?No; this place was much too expensive for a simple breakfast, something that I could get elsewhere for much cheaper. Even with the coupon, we paid much more than we had anticipated.
Busy, noisy, crowded and expensive. A regular adult sized breakfast will cost you $19.99-$25 a plate. Kids breakfasts are around $8-$15. I have been to other IHOP locations outside of Niagara and the prices are nowhere near this high. It is atrocious. The food was mediocre and the waitress was nice, but not great at her job. The coffee had a burnt flavour. I feel like I would have been much more satisfied with a Tim Hortons breakfast for much less money. The gouging going on in Niagara falls with these chain restaurants is just annoying and uncalled for. Food shouldn’t be literally triple the price.
