2017/05/17It was time for lunch, and I convinced SWMBO to give Phyl’s a try, since it was nearby. She tried talking me out of it as we approached, but I insisted. So in we went, to a world of ugly faux brick walls and orange lanterns. I don’t know how long Phyl’s has been around, but the decor looks dated, and is possibly something out of the 80’s. There were a few dirty ceiling tiles, the windows needed cleaning, and the carpet looked like it needed some cleaning or replacement.SWMBO picked the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap with Greek Salad. The food was average. I chose the Phyl’s Melt, with thin sliced roast beef, mushrooms, onions and melted Swiss cheese. I liked the sandwich; the bun was fresh and the roast beef was tender. I had the garden salad with balsamic dressing. SWMBO ‘s salad dressing and mine looked and tasted the same.So, service was good, food was just okay, and interior needs a bit of work.
