Food was amazing but I would recommend making a reservation. It took forever to get served in a basically dead restaurant.
Good variety. My kids and I always sit at the regular tables and order our favourites: sashimi, sp scallop, stuffed eggplant, tempura udon and steamed garlic squid (my favourite). You don’t have to sit at the teppan yaki tables to have a great dinner!
Our favourite place!. My family loves this place! The first few times when we went there we got lost because it’s located in a hidden area. When you see it from the front of the restaurant it doesn’t seem that big until you walk inside and discover there is so much more to this restaurant. We love the atmosphere, the food and the service. It’s a great place for families. Our children love watching the show. They’re favourite meal is the Children’s Chicken Teriyaki. My husband and I like to order a variety of items like the Ai Combination, Spicy Salmon Roll, Dynamite Roll, and the California Roll.
Great for Locals. My wife and I go there all the time. The first time we went there we got lost. It really is off the beaten path. When you see it from the front of the restaurant it doesn’t seem that big until you walk inside and discover there is so much more to this restaurant. We love the atmosphere, and of course, the food. It’s a great place to go for large groups of 8 people. Everyone can enjoy something at the teppan yaki tables, like chicken teriyaki, Hibachi steak, grilled salmon, or even if you just want sushi you can enjoy it while the rest of your group is eating grilled food.If it’s just my wife and I, we usually sit at the regular tables. We love to order a whole bunch of appetizers and make it a meal, like the harumaki, edamame, salmon-avocado roll, and my favourite is the steamed garlic squid. The regular dining section is great if your feeling adventurous, and want to try something different. So far, we have been pleasantly surprised.
Very Good Place!. Great food served in a very interesting way. It’s a dining experience to remember! Kids love the place; especially the ‘Onion Volcano’! It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Plenty of choices for the non-sushi lover as well. The one and only thing I did not like was one visit when I had to share my table with strangers. There are about 8 to 10 seats around the cooking surface so if you show up with just two or 4 people in your group you will most likely share the table with someone else. Might be okay at times; but I was there with 2 young kids and they paired us with a young couple with no kids. Made us feel self-conscious about the kids behavior (not wanting to disturb the other couple’s experience too much) and I am sure the young couple would have preferred to have been paired with another quiet couple rather than us.
Great Japanese food….my wife and I like this place because I like sushi and she doesnt. They have the chefs cook right in front of you…it’s really cool I’d you have never had that before.
Went last night With our kids. Good portions. Food is pretty good. Restaurant has been around for over 25 years (started at another location). I still think the most consistent in the Golden Horseshoe is Prince Japanese Steakhouse on Eglinton in Etobicoke for tepanyaki. Suisha seems to be the only Tepanyaki in the area.
