Went to Angels today . Waitress we were given was absolutely horrible . When bringing our cutlery to table she knocked mine on the floor , but picked it up and said she would bring new ones. After about 15 minutes our order came from another waitress who quickly gave us our order and left , but our original waitress had still not brought me any new cutlery. I had to get up and ask a busboy if he could go grab me some , which he did, thank god. Food was decent except the bacon, which was so crispy and over-fried they might as well have poured bacon bits on my plate. 10 minutes later our waitress came back asked if everything was alright, but there was no indication she had even remembered she left a customer without cutlery. By the time I neared the end of my meal I had wanted to have some jam packets for my toast, our waitress hadn’t been back for 20 minutes so , once again, I got up and found a busser and asked if I could get some jam, which I got promptly, thank goodness. 10 minutes later our waitress finally came back so I asked for the bill. She brought it quickly , threw it on the table and never asked how I would like to pay , and basically refused to take my payment . The diner has very clear signs and notices on the receipt to pay your server. How was I to do this if she walks away and basically refuses to show she intends to take payment from me. Once again I got up and asked the busboy why she walked off and hadn’t asked or tried to take our payment. He didn’t even look surprised she had done this, but went and got the debit machine anyway and took our payment. The bussing staff did all the work. Absolutely terrible service from the waitress.
Reason why!. New owners!!!! lost good cooks 🙁
Went downhill. I do not know what has happened to this place , it was good all round resturant , have been away for a few months so I have not been here, have went twice in the last couple of weeks the food is gross, i always have soup here it was great last two times I could not eat it because of the grease floating on top, both times my wife and I have ordered different meals ,so all 4 meals were left on the table. If anyone knows why this really bad change has taken place please post.Thank you
Good service! The smoked meat sandwich is awesome! Big and juicy!
The prices are high and the food is okay, but with so many better choices why just eat okay food?
Cutting Corners, Cutting Customers. Headed over to Angel’s Diner on Ontario Street this morning. Not surprisingly, Angel’s was busy. My wife had a craving for Eggs Benedict and we ventured this way because we knew it was available. Our server was cordial and on top of things. Compliments to her for being attentive and pleasant. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and I ordered the simpler 2 Egg Breakfast. Without further adieu, here is the score on breakfast. Poached eggs on both dishes, very well done, both firm on the outside with a delicious soft centre where the yolk oozed deliciously onto other items around the plate when broken with your fork.Home fries appear to be frozen pre-cut fries and were very dry. Toast and English Muffin, like any other diner toast and muffin. The Ham on the was the low end cooked ham cut, and seems to have gone downhill. Angel’s is clearly cutting corners where it will end up cutting some of their customers.
Breakfast of Champions – or Millionaires?. Don’t go here if you are looking for a cheap, greasy spoon breakfast. Portions are average/below average, and prices are way higher than average. Atmosphere is cool with the diner-ish theme, but too…corporate – or chain-like.Service is good. Not good value.
