No toilet paper or hand towels in either bathroom. Awkward procedure for ordering overpriced goods. Dated seating area with dirty tables. Can the kitchen be any better? I have my doubts. This place has fallen quite a bit the last few years. Not coming back.
Amazing ice cream, quaint place. I can imagine this place being used as a setting in a movie. It has the old timey 50s/60s feel which I love. (It was opened in 1956.) They play the classic oldies too. They have homemade high quality ice cream. There are tons of varieties and options. More than enough to please any taste. You’ll get lost in time and the ice cream. It really is a gem.
Service can be slow but usually worth the wait. the ordering system is ackward at the best of times. The swing sets and picnic tables outside in the shade are our favorite place to enjoy our treats. the prices are steep for an ice cream bar.

Plain and simple, Avondale has stood the stand of time for generations and that alone speaks volume to the quality of product they produce. Keep up the good work. For those unfamiliar, type the address in your GPS and try for yourself, you will not be let down.
