Really great spot in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Ingredients were really fresh and the tasting menu was a great way to experience different flavours. The drink list was impressive, very good local wines on the menu.
This is a really nice spot. This is one of the best spots in NOTL. Service was on point- the waiter knew a lot about the wines that my meals were paired with and was able to speak to the food pairing choices. Atmosphere was nice, refined but not pretentious. Owners both came to my table during the course of my meal to check in. I have been here twice and will recommend to others.Don’t let the outside deceive you, it’s designed to look like a backdoor!
Top quality restaurant. Food is locally sourced, and you can really taste that. Wood fire oven adds a lovely smokiness to everything it touches. Tasting menu changes depending on the ingredients brought in, but you can rest assured that dishes are delicate and well-balanced. Housemade campfire marshmallow is a cute touch.Service is friendly and helpful, but needs polish. Servers stumble into each other trying to figure out who will explain what dish, they mistakenly describe the wrong dish, and the pacing of dishes was rushed at the beginning and too far apart at the end.
The restaurant was recommended to us. Disappointing food and overpriced for the quality of ingredients and the complexity of the dishes. A good wine list.
Hands down one of the best dining experiences we have had. We were a party of 9 (4 adults and 5 kids (ages ~3 to 11)). The service was impeccable; every member of our party was treated as any diner would want to be treated (regardless of age). There was no fuss, no comment when the toddler dropped a fork; just a swift offer to pick it up and replace it. The food was out of this world; we ordered 5 items for half the table from the gastro menu: fresh, made-to-order (clearly with love), refined, inventive and highly pleasing (a comment I can only ascribe to three other places in the world, one in Arles, one in Montral and one in Ottawa). We were fortunate to be seated right in the middle of the restaurant (given our size) and had a wonderful view of Chef Crawford and his team in the open kitchen. Warm service right from the beginning and even as we were out the door, local ingredients and a beautiful atmosphere. For me, there is now only one place to eat in NOTL.
