I stopped into Beechwood Doughnuts by chance and their Peach Cobbler Doughnut was extremely delicious. I will definitely be back to try more of what they have to offer.
Food: The doughnuts were amazing. I could not believe that they were 100% vegan. It was moist, rich and extremely flavorful. You would expect a tub of butter to be in it but quite the contrary. As I mentioned, the French Toast doughnut was my favorite. It was extremely flavorful but not too sweet. Just a perfect doughnut. It had a great crunch and bite to it as well. The cronut was my second favorite. It was also unique to the taste and the texture was typical to a cronut. Also not too sweet but subtle in taste. Whenever I go to any dessert shop or bakery and if there is anything London Fog on the menu, that is what I will order. The London Fog flavor was delicious! It was sweet but also full of earl grey flavors. This flavor along with the Birthday cake one is something you need to enjoy sparingly with a huge glass of milk as it can get quite overwhelming with its sweetness. The birthday cake flavor reminded me of the crumb cake from Momofoku Milk Bar as it did have crumbs with sprinkles as toppings. It was very sweet as the doughnut had a filling of whipped cream or a type of frosting. I shared half with my mom as I could not have the whole thing. 5/5Atmosphere: Great bright and airy store with a great atmosphere. Open brick concept with art on the walls really make the place very beautiful. I also particularly love the moss and plant frames that hang on the walls as well. There aren’t any tables or chairs for you to dine in as this is mainly a take out bakery. However there is plenty of space by the window if you would like to stand and enjoy the doughnuts. The bakery also gives you a view of the industrial baking area where all the yummy doughnuts are made. Excellent place for gourmet and unique donuts. Always popular with the office crew! That they are vegan is quite amazing, you’d never know. And that the lit cinnamon sugar donuts also support the local community makes them even tastier.
Normally if you tell me something is Vegan I’m like Thanks, but No Thanks, but Beechwood Donuts elevates Donuts, not only Vegan, to a whole new level. The flavour combinations are deliciously executed, all the while maintaining wonderful taste normally not associated with eggs and dairy being absent. Well worth a road trip to Niagara.
Awesome donuts! I am not sure what kind of voodoo they use to make these while staying vegan, but it works! Didnt actually go there but coworker brought 3 boxes of differant flavors to the office. Needless to say I stuffed my face and tried as many flavors as I could, including, Oreo Cream, Orange/Licorice, Sugar/Cinnamon, Banana Cream, French Toast, Caramel/PeanutCrunch. All really really good!I am not sure howcome the rating for the place is so low considering how great this place is, but I am sure it will be in the 4-5 range very soon!
Best donuts I’ve ever eaten in my life. And they are vegan! BEST! Wow. Creative and yummy flavour combinations, and an awesome yeast donuts… Not heavy cake. Just delicious. Worth the line up everytime.
I love doughnuts and these are the best I’ve had. You would not even know that these are vegan. Staff are very friendly and the design of the shop is aesthetically pleasing.
