2016/10/26That was a pretty good burger. After doing one lap at the Outlet Collection in Niagara, it was time for lunch, and we decided to give Big Smoke Burger a try. They ask you if you want your burger cooked medium-well, and we both said yes. They also offer a choice of white or whole wheat buns, and we took whole wheat. The burgers were just the right kind of juicy, and the buns were fresh and soft. SWMBO ordered the Blazing Pineapple (grilled sweet pineapple, BBQ sauce, mayo, banana peppers, lettuce, tomato. $8.50); hold the banana peppers. Yes, she liked it, especially the ring of fresh, grilled pineapple. My burger was the Swiss Melt (Swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms, BBQ sauce, mayo, lettuce, tomato, $8.50). The tang of the BBQ sauce, the melted cheese, and the earthiness of the mushrooms made each bite tasty. We also shared one order of Onion Rings. Five large, breaded rings that were soft and oniony sweet on the inside, with a fairly uniform, crispy coating on the outside. A good side for a good burger.
