Pretty busy spot on a Sunday evening. The service was good. We got our food before we were done our appetizers! I Had the spicy steak sandwich and it was really tasty. Seemed like a pretty hoppin’ spots for the St Catherine’s locals. I would recommend Bugsys, especially on the night of your favourite sports game! (There was a lot of sports on the tvs) Well Done!
Terrible service.. rude waitress. I was there for supper tonight and i ordered the beef on a bun.. it was like shoe leather, and i couldn’t eat it. so i called the waitress over and she was so rude. she asked me if i would like another one and i said no, so she grabbed my plate and stormed off. didn’t apologize for the terrible food.. i did not pay but when she brought the bill for my friends she pretty much threw down the bills and once again stormed off. i have eaten there so many times in the past but i will think twice about going back again…
Canadiana Tavern Food. Bugsy’s is typical tavern food found in this area of the country. It has a bit of an American restaurant feel to it, both with it’s decor and the menu. Nothing too adventurous on the large menu, and I am positive there will always be something for everyone. You will not likely leave saying that what ever you ate was the best ever, but it will hit the spot and not hit your wallet. Bugsy’s continues to offer what it always as and does it as well as they did 25 years ago, if not longer. If you are looking for standard American tavern style food, then try Bugsy’s.
Standard grub. About what you’d expect. lots of fried stuff, a few surprises, fairly average. staff knows the place is busy and tables will turn fast. they don’t bother being terribly friendly or go out of their way to be pleasant. order your food, eat it, pay, get out.
Love It!. Bugsey’s is great!! Just don’t try to make it something it’s not and say the food wasn’t gourmet enough or something like that and you’ll be happy. It’s a pub with pub food, tons of character and a great and fair priced place to go on weekends or when you’re just too lazy to cook. The people are awesome and it’s always fun.
Been going to this place my whole life!. My parents used to dine their when they were younger. It’s a friendly casual atmosphere and they have good chicken fingers and sandwiches. The server was a friendly guy who made sure all of our needs were taken care of. I ordered a BLT with a side salad. The salad wasn’t anything special. It was small and made of Iceburge lettuce with tomatoes and some onions. The BLT was fine. Thick bacon. Toasted perfectly. Their hot wings are fantastic. Decent size. We used to get the Pizza. And it was decent and decently priced. Happy with the service, happy with the food. Good friendly place.
My wife got chicken parm , it was burned and hard . After she choked on it I call the server over , she took the plate away 10 min asked her if she wanted something else. She could barely swallow. So she refused more food due to hurt throat. Got the bill, was charged full price even if she had 3 bites. Told the server I’m not paying full price for that meal. She tell me the reason I’m complaining because I don’t want to pay for it and there’s is lot of people like me , and if I don’t like it ….. You know the rest. The manager came back to the table arguing wit me and my wife , saying this is the way it’s been done for long time . I ate there before and ordered many Times . After that night , will never Ho there again or recommended to anyone due to lake of professionalism and respect to customer. They should not be in the food and hospitality industries .
