I made a reservation for my wife’s birthday and asked for a quiet(er) table away from the door. A week later (Thanksgiving Sunday) we arrived and were seated promptly, at a nice table away from the door. The place was much busier than I expected – I thought everyone would be at home but clearly I was wrong. At any rate, after the hostess seated us no one else even acknowledged we were there. Two different waitresses passed our tables 4 times by my count without a ‘hello,’ ‘be right with you,’ or ‘i’ll bring you a water.’ We sat for 15 minutes and then got up and left. We hadn’t been to Cafe Amore in a few years because we had a separate bad experience. We tried valentines day this year and it was fine (and just as busy as Sunday). We live close by (walking distance) but we will never go back. Ever. Find somewhere else to go!
