I was colossally disappointed with this place. I mean it’s the Prince of Wales right? One tends to have high expectations at such a place. Mind you the atmosphere was phenomenal and the service was good. The food itself was not even mediocre. The portions were small. The food had strange combinations (trying to be gourmet?) but the flavours were bland. Definitely NOT worth what you pay for. Not worth it for the food but a good place for a drink.

Very yummy food, lobster BLT and the fish and chips. Had the orange blossom iced tea, not worth $ it tasted like watered down orange juice.

Had a great fall afternoon here with my wife in front of the fireplace. The fish and chips were excellent as we’re the lamb burger sliders. Cozy, British and a definite place to return to.

Yes!. You’d be mistaken if you thought the landmark Prince Of Wales Hotel in downtown Niagara On The Lake only had their signature restaurant, Escabeche. Inside is a place called the Churchill Lounge, which is a very pleasant find indeed. It has all the warmth and decor of a stately English reading room, with wood finishes, a fireplace and very inviting. The food is exciting, inexpensive and creative, which makes it accessible and gives the same fine dining feel to something that is also entirely casual. My girlfriend and I found this place quite by accident and went in. Do yourself a favour and go in! The service is very good and very friendly. The flavours of the food are spot on and the care taken by the people who created the menu is translated into how good their food is. You won’t be disappointed and you’ll enjoy the feel you get by being in this establishment.
