Went to Duru for takeout once and was hooked, food is great tteokbokki was really good, jjajangmyun, tangsooyook as well. Generous portion sizes, they give you tea or water when you are waiting for your order, so service is great. The wait time is a little bit longer, but it’s definitely worth it
Used To Love It! Now It Sucks!. Firstly, I used to love this place and frequented it often. Unfortunately, it has gone seriously downhill with both quality and service to the point where I actually asked for a discount on my last (literally) visit. I have had several poor and increasingly unsatisfactory dining experiences there recently. The last time, the server got my order wrong despite multiple efforts to make sure they understood, and when the incorrect order came I had to protest several times before the management came over to explain to me that I ordered something that wasn’t on the menu? How can the serving staff take an order that the establishment doesnt serve… but I had eaten there many times? Furthermore, my table was not waited on again for the entire meal, despite empty drink glasses being prominently displayed for most of the duration and I had to actually get out of my seat and physically ask for my own condiments from the cashier. Also, the soy sauce was obviously watered down to the point where it was barely distinguishable as such. To top the experience off, I asked to speak to the owner at the cash out and I explained my dissatisfaction with the entire experience. I expressed my desire for a discount on the part meal that was incorrect (my main course.. which I did not eat) and explained the utter lack of service throughout. The owner looked at me and proceeded to present me the bill… at full charge. I will never go back again.
