If you have ever been to an IHOP in America, and you come to this IHOP and expect it to be the same, you will be very disappointed like I was.
Beware. I dont see this restaurant being around in the next two years unless it takes on new management. burnt, cold, greasy food. whatever was on my toast was not butter. fresh squeezed juice was not that at all but concentrate, fruit was a fruit cocktail not fresh cut. slow slow slow service. and no manager around to address concerns
Worst Service Ever!. March 5, 2014 – I attended I-Hop with my family of four for dinner. It was not very busy…. Our Service was beyond terrible. It took a ridiculously long time for our drinks and food to arrive. The food was satisfactory but the amount of time that we had to wait for it , along with our bill was enough for us to say we would not ever go back. To top it off when we realized one of us left our gloves on the table the wait staff was so incredibly rude at letting us back in (as the doors were locked) and they ignored us to allow us back in as they were too consumed in closing up. It took us over 35 mins for them to realize we were banging on the doors/windows along with other patrons who were looking to come in. It was extremely frustrating as staff were un-apologetic and mindless. If they got decent management running the place and new staff I might consider going back.
Poor experience. I recently took my family of 4 to IHop for breakfast, this was my third visit but my families first, this was the most disappointing visit to date. first off when we entered the resteraunt it was far from busy which you would think is a good thing, we were finally greeted by an employee that was sitting in a booth and didnt look at all impressed to be there. all of the wait staff that we encountered were the most unfriendly people with very poor customer service. the food was no better either, first off they got half of my order wrong, then when it did come the hashbrowns were mushy, the eggs were supposed to be scrambled but they were still kind of runny, it was microwave bacon, and everything was cold, i had ordered a fruit bowl on the side for my kids and that was a joke, the portion was so small i would have thought that they emptied a fruit cup into a small dish and that was about it. our waitress seemed to be gone for a long time and when she returned all you could smell was smoke, now as a non smoker that completly turned me off my meal more than i had already been. we found the prices to be a little high for the quality and portions of food. needless to say i dont think we will be returning to this restaurant.
Most improved resto of the year!. Went to IHOP today for my wedding anniversary. After reading the reviews I was pretty harsh on the wait staff to make sure I didn’t have to wait for my food. I was blown away by the amazing service! There were about 7 families in the resto and 4 waitresses. The owner of this store must have read the reviews because our waitress was super efficient. This resto kicks butt! Unilimited decaf coffee..they even leave the thermos on the table! The food was good and plentiful. I had to put salt on the turkey bacon but the strawberry sauce was to die for plus they had 4 other sauces on the table to choose from. The resto is amazing the only problem is the price is the same as all the other breakfast places. They need to price it like they do in the states (20% cheaper) and then people will be breaking down the door. To sum things up this place rocks!
Unsatisfied. I recently visited your new Ihop restaurant here in St. Catharines. I took my family of 3 with me also. It was around 4:30pm, I noticed there was only one waitress on shift that night. There were already 3 full tables of people. It took at least 10mins for the waitress to even ask us what we wanted to drink. Finally our waitress came after another 15 mins to take our food order. When we received our food finally, my waffle was cold and hard and the fries were underdone. I was about to return the fries to be recooked and complain about my cold food. But the waitress never returned! Another 40 minutes passed and no waitress, I also observed other tables also sitting waiting for a waitress, some even waiting for their bill which by the way never came until finally I had enough of the waiting. I proceeded to the cash where I spoke with the manager and another 3 tables stood behind me. The lady next to me said she was happy that I stood up because she had been waiting almost an hour for her bill! The manager did not make me pay for the fries which by the way I refused because we did not eat them, and he gave us our appetizer for free. However I feel it is absolutely rediculous that there was only one waitress on staff, the manager wasn’t doing anything to assist her either! I WILL NEVER RETURN! Absolutely rediculous!
IHOP ….ohhh yeahhh!!. I was anxious to visit the St.Catharines IHOP given my experience while travelling in the US with other IHOP’s. We (party of five) were not disappionted I tried the crepes and they were outstanding. The omlettes and pancakes enjoyed by other in our party were like nothing else I have seen….a real treat. We had a great server (Britney) and she went out of her way to make us happy…..the place was spotless as well…overall a great experience…..
