On a visit to Niagara on the Lake, my wife and I were searching for a place to get something to eat in the short amount of time that we had. (Arranges tours can be limiting) Waling down the main street, I saw the sign for this one. We ventured off main street and into a small and very welcoming place. The gentleman behind the counter that Sunday was very gracious and welcoming, eager to please and accommodate. We ordered up some Panini’s which were rather tasty. As we sat there and ate them, lots of other people were coming in and out and each were greeting by the only guy behind the counter as a friend. We finished our Panini’s and ordered up a small Gelato to go. It was delicious. This small shop is very much worth seeking out when in Niagara on the Lake.

Came here with family. I got the coffee one and it tasted very strong like actual coffee.. someone else got pistachio which was good and the other one I tried was caramel which again was like really prominent. The wafer they put on top made my day it was soooo good! Overall good gelato and great service! Cute little spot.

It was an unbearably hot day and all I wanted was some ice cream to cool me down. There are a number of gelato shops along the street, but I was tempted into Il Gelato Di Carlotta by the free samples being offered outside the shop. The coffee flavour I tried had a good caffeine kick, and I was interested to try some more. Got myself a double scoop of coconut and amaretto, and both were yum. Flavours were spot on, and really soft and creamy. Serving size was a bit small compared to most places, but the quality made up for it.

Great Gelato bar, we tried the pistachio, straciatella, mango and black cherry. I think the cherry one was the highligh, with pistachio in second – but they were all really good and rich. Only complaint is that they could have been a bit colder as they started dripping right away (but place had big lineup so container lid was open alot). They also offer gelato bars and other desserts which looked good.

Definitely some of the best gelato I’ve had in North America. The seating area is cool and clean. My favourite was the after eight ice cream Popsicle. If you’re at the casino in Niagara you can to there outlet there as well. Skip the slots hit the cones!

FOOD: I had decided on a Small Hazelnut Gelato in a cone, while my husband decided on a Small Coconut Gelato in a cone (he then was able to get some mango as the coconut was running low). The cone was quite long however, not too thick, which resulted in thegelato running down to the bottom of the cone quickly once placed into the cone. TheHazelnut Gelato was absolutely divine, tasting freshly made, and filled with hazelnut flavour. Although I did find the scoop to be a bit small for $3.99, it was delicious, and well-worth the stop! I also tried my husband’s Coconut/MangoGelato, which was also, very fresh and creamy.Almost as good as it is in Italy!ATMOSPHERE: This shopwas quite small, with a few chairs and atable attached to the wallat the frontnear the door, while the gelato counter and cash registerwere situated in an L-shape at the back of the shop. It was difficult to positiononeself in the line when placing an orderas people were standing everywhere; it was difficult to see whom had been served and whom hadn’t been. We didn’t eatour items in the shop as it was too small and the seats at the front were taken. If only this shop were a tad bigger, it would be more comfortable for seating.SERVICE: When we walked-in, we noticed that there were about four people behind the counter serving the customers. We only had to wait about two minutes before one of the women behind the counter asked how she could assist us. Then, a young man came over to take our orders, which we then paid for at the cashier nearby once the orders were complete. Each of the servers were friendly, and didn’t seem rushed at all when processing the order.COST: $3.99 (Small Hazelnut Gelato In A Cone) + $3.99 (Small Coconut/Mango Gelato InA Cone) = $9.02 (Tax Included)WOULD YOU RETURN? I found that the price was a bit too high however, the gelato was very good therefore, if I am not able to find a gelato shop with a cheaper price, then I would surely come back!

Best pistachio gelato I’ve ever had. Really nice staff and delicious gelato. I loved the pistachio, hazelnut, chocolate orange, After Eight (mint) and strawberry (locally sourced from a farm).
