High cost but little bang for the bmostuck./St. Catharines. I went for a burger and paid over $13.00 and found their burgers are half the size of other restaurants. Plus only a handful of fries. STILL HUNGRY
The Usual Suspect. Jack Astor’s in St. Catharines is the original Jack Astor’s but is exactly what you would expect from Jack Astor’s anywhere else in the country. Like most chain restaurants, the staff are trained to serve in a certain way and the attention to portion and quality control is important. It is for this reason that these restaurants are something travelers will always know what to expect and locals can always fall back on if they are undecided where to eat any given night. Prices will always be a bit more than locally owned establishments for similar items, but you are likely guaranteed you know what you are getting.
HIgh $$ Cost – Low Value. We had 4 beer, 1 appetizer salad, 1 chicken wings, and a cheese bread order and it came to $78 including tip – this is way more expensive than even Toronto! The food was mediocre and the service limited. Waste of money on basic food and a few beer – not returning..
Jack Astors always seems good. 90% of the time I enjoy it. I suggest getting the garlic pan bread if they have it. Delicious!

Typical chain restaurant menu and pricing, but what I come here for is their pan garlic bread. Second to none.
