My husband and I were visiting Niagara-on-the-lake and decided to try Kitchen 76. The service was decent however we did not leave feeling full, portions although good were small for what you pay for. You could go to the Keg and pay the same price for what we paid and leave stuffed. Unfortunately, we are not very impressed.

FOOD:We had come here for lunch at around 2:30 pm on a Friday afternoon. We had decided to start with the Arancini ($15.00) as an appetizer, followed by the Margherita Pizza ($24.00) to share. We had received five small Arancini, which were surrounded by tomato sauce. Although they were tiny, the taste was absolutely delicious, one of the best Arancini that we have ever tried. They were moist and flavourful, definitely difficult to find nowadays. In terms of the Margherita Pizza however, we were sorely disappointed. We had decided to share the Margherita Pizza as we werent too hungry therefore, we were hoping that we would be filled-up by what we were eating; we were certainly wrong. The pizza came to us with huge pieces of cheese that were not melted enough, and when we went to bite into the pizza, all of the ingredients came sliding off, resorting to us eating soggy crust. The pizza was also much too thin, and tasted as though it had been drenched in sauce for a week. We have had a variety of thin-crust pizzas at other, less expensive establishments, and have been able to enjoy the pizza that we were served. For the ridiculous price that we had paid, we would have expected better. A huge disappointment in terms of the pizza, one of the worst that we have ever had. Considering the hype that this establishment has given towards its food, we had expected much better. Instead, we were served something that definitely made us question why we would put down so much money for something so poorly made. Would never recommend the pizza at this establishment to anyone, especially at that price.ATMOSPHERE:When we first arrived at this restaurant, we noticed that there was nobody sitting inside of the restaurant. The reason most likely was due to the beautiful weather and the patio overlooking the vineyard which, we had to admit, was quite stunning. The only thing that we didnt enjoy was that the sun kept beaming into our eyes, and as the afternoon grew hotter, the sun continued to shift, beaming not only into our eyes, but also into our bodies as well. One word of advice is that this establishment definitely needs umbrellas on their patio; it was much too uncomfortable when the sun was out, making us wish that we had sat inside instead. As well, the tables were a bit too cramped together, and the servers were making their way in-between our tables which made it difficult for us to sit comfortably. Definitely need more space between each table in order to actually enjoy our stay.SERVICE:We were disappointed at the horrible service that we had received, which went downhill after a second waitress was appointed to look after our table. We were first served by one waitress who took our order; she seemed nice enough but didnt do anything out of the ordinary to make our visit enjoyable. She was then replaced by the second waitress who definitely looked as though she did not care about our table at all. Once she was appointed, it seemed to go downhill from there. The Arancini took about fifteen minutes to arrive, which we found to be appalling considering that it was only just an appetizer. There was no apology as to the appetizer being late, which we found to be rude. Then, once we had finished the Arancini, our pizza was nowhere in-sight for another 15-20 minutes. Then, we were brought over the wrong pizza by another waitress whom we didnt know (this one did apologize though for the mix-up, which we found to be respectful). Once our pizza did arrive, once again, no apology as to why it was so late. Also, not once did our waitress come by to ask us how everything was going and if we were enjoying our food. She only came by to fill our water glasses once, which we found despicable as it was a hot day, and we were thirsty.Once we had finished our pizza, we were left sitting in the hot sun for about fifteen minutes, with our waitress not even looking our way to see how we were doing. We didnt even get asked if we had wanted to look at a dessert menu. I had to get-up and ask another waitress if we could have our bill, and that I would pay it on the spot instead of waiting at our table for it. Our waitress did not even come over to apologize for the delay; we were left waiting in the hot sun as if we were forgotten. Absolutely the WORST service that I have ever received at an establishment that charges so much yet, delivers so little.COST:1 Arancini: $15.00 + 1 Margherita Pizza: $24.00 = $44.07 (Taxes Included)WOULD YOU RETURN?Not a chance! The pizza was the worst that I have ever had, along with the hot sun and the horrible service. Why would I even give one dime to this place? Definitely overrated!

Great pizza. We were a party of four, each of us curious to check out Niagara’s newest winery. The staff were really friendly and the pizza was great. Can’t wait to return in the summer to check out their patio. It overlooks the vineyard and will be the perfect spot for sunsets. We didn’t go to the tasting room but apparently they only serve their wine in the restaurant so I can say that I did try their wine. Their sauv blanc was nice, recommended to perfectly compliment the pesto pizza and it was a good match.
