  Really good food. Great selection of beers and wine, but that’s to be expected in this area. I like places that keep their menu small enough that they can do it all right. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of variety. We had good service, but I admit that you get the feel that the staff would rather hang with each other and the regulars than pay attention to the tables. But we weren’t ignored.

  Terrible Service & Subpar Food. Have been here for drinks on the weekends before, and have never really had an issue (once a few beers in). Service was slow, but that’s to be expected on a busy night. However, we went for Saturday brunch for the first time, and the experience was disappointing in both the service and food aspect. As my boyfriend and I are both culinary graduates, we were excited to try the menu options since we had previously heard good things about them. We were greeted by our server who had trouble remembering the specials of the day, was not friendly, and did not make any recommendations. We ordered the perch sandwich and the wrap of the day with the soup of the day (brisket wrap with peppers and cream of mushroom). The perch sandwich was good, but the daily wrap was bland and under seasoned. The cream of mushroom soup was served with a dead herb garnish, instead of fresh, and had herb stems and inedible bits throughout (very disappointing). Would definitely not order this meal again, as, all in all, it was unappealing both visually and taste-wise. At the end of our meal, there were items added onto our bill which we did not order–which normally wouldn’t be a huge deal. However, when brought to the attention of the staff, they turned their backs without any apology or explanation. They showed no regard for having made a mistake, and acted as if talking amongst themselves would be a sufficient apology to us. Overall, the staff had no manners, no customer service skills, and, seemingly, no expertise.

  Good pub food, with complacent or surly staff. Love the beer. Great beer. Food is basic pub food, but well done and worth the money. Do not expect friendly service here though. The staff act like its a clique and seem to actively try not to be friendly. I’ve been going for years and barely get a hello whenever I walk in. Each time is like the first time. You can occasionally engage them in a friendly chat, but its a rare event.
