Check your bill before paying. Will never go back to raw fish. Ive been there in 3 different occasions with a group of ppl and the first time we were charged to extra TO USE A ROOM, then on top of that we paid the forced Tips?( because we were a group) anyways regardless on top of that they charge 4 ppl out of the eight that were there an additional person on each bill hoping we wouldnt pick up and we didnt until we paid and about to leave in the parking lot a man walked out saying check your bill this restaurant steals money. And so we checked and bam we all walked back in, they said was a mistake ….. ok . So anyway another occasion came we went there because it was last option waited for a while before food and again paid extra for room n forced Tips then came the bill and bam yet again charges each for an extra person and when we confronted them they said by mistake ????? Sure. And same 3rd time they did it and THIS IS IT NOT GIVING THEM ANY MORE BENEFIT OF ANY DOUBT. WILL NOT ADVICE NO ONE TO EAT THERE AND IF YOU DO CHECK YOUR BILL.

Fresh Food, Good weekday dinner service. We went to RawFish for the first time today on a Monday night (5:30ish) after reading about it from last week’s flyers. We were immediately shown to our table, drink orders promptly taken as we surveyed the menu. We had shrimp tempura (fresh and crispy, not rancid at all. I’m very sensitive to that gucky-rancid oil taste common in overused deep frying oil.), island shrimp (just okay, nothing special), black dragon and red dragon (good!), crispy salmon and cheese (good!), beef teriyaki, salmon teriyaki, beef stir fry, (all have very flavorful sauces and crisp veggies on the stir-fry), chicken sesame skewer, spicy chicken skewer (very good sauce on these, and chicken was very tender), squid stir-fry (a little tough for my taste but my boyfriend liked it), eel nigiri (a favorite), spring rolls (vegetable, tasty but had a slightly heavy starchy filling, possibly potato or another binder?), and lemon chicken (chicken was thinly pounded but still tender inside and crisp outside. It is slightly greasy though, but we managed. Lemon dipping sauce had a sweet- tarty balance.)For sashimi we had salmon, surf clam, and white tuna – all very firm and fresh. Interiors were simple but clean and well-lit. The bathroom was very well-maintained. I personally love the visual texture of materials used in the bathroom. (Forgive my archigeekiness.) The sinks had flower stencils on them which i thought was a quirky personal touch. For dessert we had marble cheesecake, mango ice cream and strawberry ice cream. The cheesecake was better than i expected (buffet places usually have dry and crumbly cakes.)It would be interesting to try dining here again on a busier day, just to see how the service holds up during peak hours. I’d be interested to try the rest of the rolls too! All in all,a good choice for today’s dinner 🙂

Despite stories, had a good experience. TL;DR: Fast service, fresh food, Messed up the order in a non-major way. Large menu. Clean venue. 8/10. I do recommend it. After hearing many mixed reviews about this restaurant, I decided to try it for myself. We went during the lunch rush at around 2 pm. It was mostly Brock students and the restaurant was pretty well filled up. We went in a group of three. We were seated after waiting a couple minutes. Our order was taken and we had drinks within five minutes. They started on Appetizers and brought our boat out very soon thereafter. The fish was fresh, as was the rice. The tempura and the teriyaki were both hot and fresh, the plates clean. The service was quick and effective. I did not feel rushed though. The only bad thing was that the mango in our mango rolls were not so ripe, they missed one roll and they gave us more spring rolls than we ordered. All in all, it was a good experience. I would recommend it to sushi lovers. The menu was quite large too. Lots of variety. I would go again for sure. Clean venue, not to flashy. 8/10.

Not the best but the location is good for students that live around Brock’s campus

In addition to the review written before this one… I am a big fan of the all you can sushi restaurants in st. Catharines and niagara falls and Rawfish is fairly consistantly good! The only time i have had bad service was when i was seated at the far back tables as well… i also found those tables to be odd, and small for how much food we order. I think ive been sat at thlse tables twice and the other time was fine. The staff are usually pretty fast and the orders are pretty accurate. I dont recall them missing many items that we’ve ordered… and i eat there quite often. The seaweed salad is delicious! Same with the sauce on their chicken skewers. The nice thing about these all you can eat sushi restaurants is that they have more then enough options for people not sure if they will like sushi or dont eat fish. In summary, about 9/10 times visiting this restaurant it is good service and very good food! Lunch time can be busy and service would naturally reflect that. Water and green tea is refilled regularly and the tables are cleared from dirty plates often. I would recommend this restaurant as a good all you can eat sushi restaurant. …also the decor is simple but pleasantSome of my favorite menu items:Spicy Crispy Salmon Roll, Spicy Crispy Eel Roll, Water Drop, Salmon Nigiri, Red Snapper Nigiri, White Dragon is pretty good, Red Dragon is pretty good, any of the spicy/crispy items, the Crispy eggplant is good, The mango/avocado rolls are good and always fresh. I found the Gunjai was a gross texture and seemed to be the incredients thrown in a blender… i wont be doing that again. Chicken skewers are great, cuttlefish is chewy and spicy, beef skewers are good. The mushroom Teryaki are very good, the beef steak is pretty good, the beef teryaki is the sizzling dish that they bring around…. it’s pretty good. All the tempura’s are good. .. and keep in mind these were all off the lunch menu. I hope this review encourages you to try this restaurant.
