I was lucky!!. I had a gift certificate for a free nights stay along with dinner and breakfast. Each morsel was fantastic!! The room was great too.Don’t hesitate!!!
We stayed and are at Riverbend on a package deal that essentially allowed us to thoroughly stuff ourselves from this magnificent a la carte menu at a prix fixe option (excluding drinks). The meal was truly fabulous and liberally portioned for fine dining. I started with muscles in a surprisingly well balanced lemon and licorice cream. Thus was followed by a perfectly cooked veal chop (20+ oz) on a bed of sweetbreads and cippolini onions. I ended with a coffee and artisan cheese plate. My wife had frisee salad with toasted walnuts, apple chips, and blue cheese; Lamb crusted with Dijon and mint sided with roasted spinach and fingerlin potatoes. Desert is the house favorite Suger Snap (A hardened caramel shell filled with lemon curd, creme fresh and berries). In the end this was a gem of a meal that was executed flawlessly. With a bottle of wine and starter cocktails the meal would of been $200 (60 for drinks). We also stopped in for breakfast, which was well done and fine dining as well. Surprisingly affordable for breakfast. It is worth eating here before you venture out as you won’t eat better in niagara.
