So we went for dinner last night and the meal was not enjoyable. I had a Caesar salad and then had to pay an extra $7 to add chicken but thats alright $21 for a chicken Caesar is alright I guess but then when we got the meal the chicken was dry and well and truly over cooked. The service was really good and our server was extremely nice but the food just wasnt up to scratch at all and it was quite expensive. My friend ordered a mixed green salad that ended up being $20 and it was literally a packet of mixed leaves you could find at a supermarket with 4 cherry tomatoes and 4 pieces of cucumber I mean like that is just honestly ridiculous. Over just a poor effort but it was such a nice location with great service.

Niagara On The Lakes is a quaint, serene and charming town nearby Niagara Falls, which has retained much of its old architecture and old charm. It’s also obviously a tourist stop as busload and busload of tour buses were dropping off tourists at the designated disembarkation area, and almost all restaurants were packed. It was thus why we decided to choose the restaurant with the fastest moving queue for our lunch. The waitstaffs at Shaw seems to be used to the hordes of hungry people, and everything runs like a well-oiled machine. Each waitstaff does their own specific task, and don’t you dare think about asking them to do something different than what they were assigned to. Make of that what you will. The food came out super fast, I noticed at least 5 chefs in the upstairs kitchen, and a number more downstairs. The charcuterie plate was average – the prosciutto was tasty but the bread was limp. The lasagna that dad ordered was super cheesy, dense and heavy. The salad on the side helped cut through the richness of the lasagna, but by itself it was just an ordinary salad. Not exactly value for money, as the above two dishes, a tonic water and a beer costed around $70ish plus tax and tips.

2nd worst place I’ve eaten at ever !!. Well let’s see 1st off we waited for over 40mins for our meals, I could see it sitting on the counter for almost 10mins while our waitress was nowhere to be found, another waiter brought our food after he saw us staring at our plates … When the food finally arrived my wife’s falafel was ok the salad was wilted , my burger was over cooked and dry the bread was stale , and the WORST part is that I ordered chicken fingers for my 2year old and 2 were cooked and the last one WAS STILL PINK !!!! It was still raw !! …. Lucky we always look before we feed her, they at least removed that from our bill … I also could see the disappointment in the couple next to us that ordered the fish and chips before we got there and only got their burnt fish at the same time we got our food , they did not look impressed either ….. I don’t know who runs this place , if anybody at all does ,but don’t be lured in by their fancy patio on a beautiful day cause that’s the only thing good about this place … Be warned
