  Bah.. Here’s the good. Moist chicken, soft pita, and a firm wrapping job! He bad you ask, well if you love being overwhelmed by curry powder and garlic then this is the place. Other than the mouth feel you’d never know you’re not eating just a wrap of garlic paste and curry powder. Its a shame because they spend the time to fresh prep the chicken.

  Best shawarma plate in town, by far.. Shawarma Hut, by far, makes the best chicken shawarma plate in St. Catharines. I haven’t tried their wrap yet, but I’d wager it’s equally delightful.Pros: whatever seasoning they use; the rice; the garlic / hummus dips.Cons: absence of a pita bread ‘pocket’ that I scan scoop the shawarma into.All in all: tasty, authentic, reasonably priced, and friendly service.

  *Updated review* (November 2017) Still the best Shawarma in the Niagara Region! (A review from a regular customer)I’ve been coming to Shawarma Hut for 5+ years. The owner is very nice and friendly. The owner keeps everything very clean when he prepares the Shawarma. I have tried the chicken shawarma wrap, chicken shawarma plate, beef shawarma plate, and the falafel wrap. I usually get the chicken shawarma wrap and it is amazing. It has shredded lettuce, tomatoes, pickled cabbage, hummus, tahini, garlic sauce (I’m addicted to the garlic sauce, it’s so good!), pickled radish and pickles. The chicken is prepared fresh and the owner uses a spice blend from his home. I also really enjoy the chicken plate, which is a large quantity of rice topped with the same chicken used for shawarma. Like the wraps, the plate can come in spicy or not spicy. I usually get only garlic sauce for my chicken plate, but my husband enjoys the regular hummus/garlic sauce together with his chicken plate. This is great value shawarma and excellent taste. I have had shawarma in Hamilton, Toronto, and other St. Catharines locations and this is the best tasting one. I will never go anywhere else for Shawarma! I love Shawarma Hut! The owner can also accommodate for vegan customers as well (falafel wrap or plate with no garlic sauce). Also, just a small note: it is cash or debit only.

  Pretty good. For being out of no where I was pretty surprised. The owner? is very generous on the rice and meat for the platter. When we went the food prep took 15 minutes but I guess it’s better to have the food hot and fresh than sitting under a heat lamp
