FOOD:We had come here for dinner on a Thursday evening at around 8:15 pm. We were told that we had to wait about fifteen minutes for a table. We then decided to sit at the bar and noticed that other people seated at the bar whom were waiting for a table as well were ordering their main dishes. We then decided to place our order, which consisted of the Irish Corned Beef Sandwich With French Fries ($15.00) for myself, and the 1 Piece Of Haddock With French Fries ($15.00) for my mother. Once we were seated at our table, we then waited as our items arrived about fifteen minutes after ordering them.The Irish Corned Beef Sandwich wasnt very good; the bread was soggy, and the corned beef was very salty. I also found that when biting into the sandwich, all of the items kept falling out, which made it difficult to enjoy the sandwich. The French Fries were actually good as they were hot (temperature-wise), and also crunchy and delicious-tasting. My mother said that her haddock was good however, it was quite big and she had a hard-time finishing it. Overall, the food was mediocre however, nothing to rave about. It was typical pub-fare food, which seemed to be done quickly as it was busy during that time.ATMOSPHERE:Upon entering, we were greeted with loud music and cold air coming from the ceiling fans above. It was difficult to wait for a table as there was no standing room at the front of the restaurant. Also, when we were seated at the bar, the servers kept asking us if we had wanted something to drink, even though we had said repeatedly that we were just waiting for a table. The restaurant itself was also very small, with the tables and chairs too close together, making it difficult to walk around.SERVICE:When we had first arrived, we were told that we had to wait for a table therefore, we sat at the bar and waited. We then noticed that other people whom were also waiting for a table at the bar were able to order from the menu. We were disappointed as nobody had told us that we could do this therefore, we could have gotten our food faster than we had. Once we were seated, the server whom brought over our food didnt do anything ordinary, just placed the food in front of us and scurried away quickly as we began eating. We did find the service to be very rushed, and didnt feel as though we were valued guests.COST:1 Irish Corned Beef Sandwich With French Fries: $15.00 + 1 Piece of Haddock With French Fries: $15.00 = $33.90 (Taxes Included)WOULD YOU RETURN?No; the food was sub-par for the price, and the atmosphere and service just werent to our liking.

No air conditioning today so it was muggy and still.Our server was short….no, I don’t only mean short in height, but also that she was just short with us. She performed her server duties curtly and a bit robotically. Not as welcoming as I’d like.The food was good; not spectacular but good.The pint was tasty.
The atmosphere is what you would expect for a pub style restaurant. They had a good selection of beers on tap. The prices were good for Niagara-on-the-Lake. I had the Veggie sandwich and my boyfriend had chicken fingers and fries. The food was okay but not spectacular. The location is excellent, the restaurant is located on cute side street just off the main street in NOTL.
Went to Harp Pub this weekend. Very nice and cozy place. Felt very Irish. We had lobster bisque which was delicious and sweet potato fries. The sauce for the fries was super! Would definitely come back!
Had the worst meal I can remember in a very long time. Completely chose the wrong dinner and I am paying for it now. Ordered the Fisherman’s Wharf platter and it was terrible. Please do not spend your $19 on this. I don’t usually write reviews but I want to spare anyone else from this huge disappointment. First time ever staying in Niagara on the Lake and what a terrible dinner. The fried fish platter was over cooked on the outside.but undercooked on the inside – I even sent it back and the new fish still came back the same. The calamari was rubber and not edible. I don’t know what else is good there but please stay away from this dish. My stomach hasn’t stopped gurgling. I’m so sad my night ended up like this. :(I told 2 different servers the meal was horrible but they still made me pay for it and gave me a free appetizer card for next time. Seriously? I paid and walked out and I regret not saying more but I was trying not to ruin the evening for my friend who had an okay dinner.
One of my favourite spots in Niagara on the Lake. We came here with a group of about 20 of us the day after our wedding and the staff were more than accommodating. We never had empty glasses and food was served in a very timely manner. Everything was great and is a perfect spot if you’d like something more low key but still yummy. Potato farls on the menu is deep friend mashed potatoes! I bit doughy in texture but good with some ketchup.
