Love this Indian restaurant. I have eaten Indian food for years, all over the world and this Restatant is very good. They even made my favourite Bangalore Pal which is hotter than hell. My wife and I eat there every anniversary for the last several years.
Dont order from this restaurant! Ordered delivery for 7 people last night, ordered at 5:45 didnt arrive until 8:10 pm. Called at 7:00 to check on order, was told 20 more minutes. Called again at 7:45, was told the driver had left and it would be 5 minutes, finally arrived after 8:10pm. Butter chicken was horrible. Wont order from there again. Just found out that my cousin who ordered from her cell phone received a call from the restaurant complaining that we didnt tip thier delivery driver! Are you kidding me!!! It took over 2 hours to get our food and it wasnt very good. Wasnt worth the wait. Why would we tip?
Pathetic food. I ordered tandoori platter and the meat tasted stale. Salad that came with the platter had lettuce which was almost rotten. Menu says all tandoori dishes come with mint sauce but when I asked for it the server said we don’t have it sir.I will not recommend anyone to visit this place.
Not real Indian food. The beef curry despite requests to make spicy was VERY tame and lacking in the rich flavors characteristic of Indian dishes. Similarly the butter chicken was lackluster, missing its traditionally rich flavors, void of any heat, and bordering on sweet. As a Southeast Asian who grew up on Indian food and around Indian restaurants I was quite disappointed with Touch of India. The Samosas and Dal dishes were decent and comparable to those found at other Indian restaurants. The service was pleasant and water was kept refilled. Although the lunch specials are quite cheap I will not be returning.
Buffet = Great Value. We were hungry and driving through St. Catharines so we stopped in for the Sunday buffet at Touch of India. It was us and one other table when we arrived but I guess this could be normal since it was an hour before they closed for the day. The wait staff was nice and the buffet had a good selection of items (1 soup, 2-3 salads, 6 meat entrees,2-3 vegetarian entrees, 2 types of rice, and bread) with everything labeled with the name of the dish and its spiciness. The buffet is available at lunch time Monday through Sunday without Sunday being the most expensive day but I am not sure what the differences in price translates to as far as selection goes on the buffet.
Surprised at all the good reviews this restaurant had! It was empty when me and a huge group came for a birthday. Service was so so. Servers were lazy and told us they couldnt split our appetizer in separate bills. My group mostly ordered butter chicken and it was way way to sweet! Not a great flavour. I came with real Indians and they hated the flavour!! Definitely not some place our group would go back to again. General consensus that no one liked it
Amazing! We ate like kings. Great music & excellent service.
