  Obnoxious people next to us!. We were quite excited to have dinner together with our children who we’re celebrating their 28th birthday. We hadn’t been to Wildfire in many years and thought it would be a nice change. Our server was Lauren who was very pleasant and knowledgable about the menu. Actually the entire staff was incredible. However the group of people at the table beside us were very loud and obnoxious. It was as if their was a table of children beside us, only it was much more difficult to sympathize because they were not children but fully developed adults. Our family likes to have a good time and would never fault anyone for enjoying their evening but this table was exceptionally bad. Their laughter and conversation was incredibly intrusive making it difficult to have conversation. It wasn’t just us, several tables were glancing at them with looks of annoyance and the wait staff came to us with a discounted bill and apologized for the loud table. This apology and discount was completely unprompted – they knew how bad this table was. Normally poor manners on the part of patrons would not warrant a negative review. The only problem is that the loud and obnoxious table was occupied by THE OWNER of the restaurant. Surely he should know proper dining etiquette. In summary: the staff, drinks and food at Wildfire were exceptional. The table next to us containing the owner ruined the meal.

  I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. It was amazing. The steaks were cooked perfectly, and mouth watering! When it came to dessert, i just had to mention it was my boyfriends birthday and they brought out a free carmel cheesecake with a candle, completely unexpected! Highly recommend!

  Disappointing. We read some great reviews of this place so went for an anniversary dinner on a Sunday night. We were very disappointed considering the reviews we had read. We ordered an antipasto plate which, for $15, was overpriced for such low quality cold cuts – we didn’t even bother touching half of them. For mains, my husband had beef ribs (22$) which he liked, I had a (huge) piece of halibut (29$) which was very overcooked and dry – even in the centre (maybe it sat under a heat lamp?). The waitress was very nice about replacing it, but hubby was completely finished his meal before my dinner arrived. The new piece was still a touch overcooked, and it was OK, certainly not spectacular. The sides (veg and roast potato) were really good. I felt like the waitress had too many tables (and the place was nowhere close to full) she was difficult to pin down (waited forever for the ground pepper, milk for the coffee never came, etc), but was really nice when we did manage to catch her. At this price point I would have expected the meal to be better prepared using better quality ingredients, with more attentive service. It just made for a series of issues that made the dinner not enjoyable, and the value was simply not there. We won’t be returning.

  Better than the Keg. As a steak & seafood restaurant, this is a better option than the Keg. Prices are medium to high, but more reasonable than the Keg and the food is better. I have tried other menu items (e.g. pizza, chicken) and was a little disappointed. I would recommend steak and seafood dishes as this is where they excel.My family often has special occasions here, as it is one of the few places our entire group of relatives enjoys.

  Big restaurant, but the booths provide intimacy. Good solid steak menu. Good alternative to the Keg.
