After having a bad experience at the Garrison House we decided to have dessert here. Am I ever glad we did.Atmosphere- I had driven past this place so many times not once thinking of going in. I do not tend to do just dessert often. When you walk inside it is just a pastry shop with a few tables. Tables and chairs scream this is no place to linger. The choices are all so wonderful looking. It took me a while to decide.Food- I settled on a Chocolate caramel silk tart. It was so decadent and smooth. I am craving it again just writing about it. My husband had a lemon tart with fresh berries on top. He didn’t even wait for me to take a picture. I noticed they had sandwiches and soup too. The soup du jour was coconut cauliflower. Sounds wonderful. We also ordered teas. I did not like that the milk, sugar etc was in a separate area so when you pour your second part out of tea pot you have to get up again . Cramped and difficult to get around the other tables. I bet more than once tea cups have gone flying into the air.Service- the girl behind counter was over and above sweet. I noticed they had many regulars whom she knew and was very pleasant with.Impression- This place is going to be a routine stop as is Harvest Barn for pie. We visit NOTL all year round. Thanks to our poor experience at Garrison Huse or we have never discovered this gem of a place.

Tasty cakes, not so tasty coffee. This place could definitely invest in a proper espresso machine and teach their staff how to use it. However, the cakes redeem this place! Delicious non-bake peanut butter cheesecake! Would return to try more but have a tea instead. Service was fast and friendly.
