Antosha can be easily missed if you drive by very quickly along Bathurst! It’s a very simple pastry shop with a good variety of cakes.The style is very plain and simple with absent of any intricacy. Basic Russian style cakes are found here. I enjoyed the slices I had and it did satisfy the cake craving that I had for the day. I ordred two slices of cake. Reason being how can I simply order one slice among so many varieties? I believe one was chocolate based and the other one was hazelnut with meringue. Both were rich in flavor and relatively fresh. The cake slices were huge! I could barely finish both peices even on an empty stomach! Antosha itself is stationed in a quiet neighborhood and the patrons appeared to be the regular neighborhood folks which adds intimacy. But like I said earlier, although the cakes are good it didn’t surprise my pallet in anyway. What I saw was what I got. But hey? There’s nothing wrong with being simple. Simple is good.Will I return? If I happen to be in the are but not out of my way.Food – 3Ambience -3Value – 3Service -3Creativity -3Overall grade – 15/25= 60% (D)
