2018/05/01A new Basil Box has opened in what used to be a bank branch. Great location for pedestrians and those taking public transit, right on a busy intersection.This is a counter service restaurant, where you choose a salad, rice or noodle base, and then they add things on top as you move along the counter. I started with the Spring Mix Salad, and added veggies (sauteed peppers, roasted edamame), Lemongrass Chicken, Tangy Tamarind (sauce) and all the toppings (except the Thai chilies). Lots of good colours, good textures, and good flavours.They don’t carry the big brand soft drinks, but do have pricey, cold bottled sodas and teas. I had the Green Tea.Not the cheapest lunch at $16.90.
