What can I say? I’ve been to Congee time many- many times and yet I haven’t written a review about this establishment? I’m literally within walking distance from Congee time from where I work and convenience is one of the major reasons I have been back over and over again! There is a variety found at Congee time. From congee to noodles. To fried noodles to fried rice. The varieties are endless as HK favorites and a variety of stir fried delights are mixed into the menu. You will be definitly find something you like here. As for the quality you may ask? It’s a hit or miss as I truly believe that there is more than one cook at a restaurant. The food is usually fair and good. You leave happy in the tummy and satisfied! If you are in the area please do give them a try! It’s a reliable place for a good bowl of congee and a variety of HK delights that definitely will satisfy all foodies out there!
Absolutely excellent authentic Chinese food in a contemporary dining atmosphere. The food is of an exceptional quality and very tasty. Service is good. Plenty of free parking.
This place has been around for years. Quick and high value. A decent choice for a quick meal. Perfect for a late to mid night snack option.
Always a busy restaurant, this place serves decent food with quick service and a large selection on their menu of your typical Chinese fried rice, noodle, congee fare.I would say that the items that are decent would be any of the fried rice, noodle, and congee items, the fried dough sticks, etc.Fancier dishes would probably be better ordered at another type of restaurant. Overall, good place for food if you don’t want to cook and are looking for Chinese food.
Just stick with the congee and turnip cakes . Avoid other food items. They cannot make dim sum. Their noodle dishes are diluted sauces with a lot of salt, MSG and Corn starch. You can taste it. You need to go to a neighbouring city (Scarborough, Markham or Vaughan) next to Toronto in order to have good Chinese food these days. resturantfoodreviews.blogspot.com
The service here is consistently bad, the food is good but not great, and dishes are priced around the same as Congee Queen. The only reason I keep going back is because I happen to live right next door. If you’re in the area and craving congee, ho fun, or fried rice, go to Congee Queen up the street in Centerpoint Mall.Update: I’ve upgraded the score from a 2.5 to 3.5 because of the improvement of their service! Not sure if this place is under new ownership, but sure feels like it!
NEVER EAT HERE!. The food wasn’t great at all and the servers are very, very rude. There’s other places that is much better than here.I will not recommend this restaurant.
